We came here 2 years ago and thought it was out of this world and had such a enjoyable experience. We were so excited to come back to celebrate our engagement tonight - instead got something very different than what we remembered. The appetizers were delicious which set the stage for a phenomenal main course but we were sadly disappointed. My mushroom ravioli came in a piping hot plate that was surely right out of the microwave with the ravioli soaking in oil and hard as a rock. There was barely any recognizable mushroom in the dish and I found a PLASTIC piece in one of my ravioli. I sent this back immediately. And got a bubbling (right out of the microwave) carbonara which lacked any taste ( OR EGG) and had hard as a rock pancetta. My fiancé’s bolognese was likewise microwaved with the gnocchi and meatballs falling apart and had lime in it??? My fiancé had to run to the bathroom before even finishing half of his dish. Overall, such a insanely disappointing experience and unfortunately we will not be returning and we will for sure be rescinding our glowing recommendations to...
Read moreAmazing Food, but be warned that it requires a reservation. We didn’t have a reservation and got a standard reply, “Sorry, we are absolutely full, so recommend doing a reservation now for tomorrow”. My response,”How can that help with our hunger now. What can you do to help?” She suggested that we 3 can sit at the adjacent bar (Wine Bar) and order food from the restaurant. We were tired and hungry, so agreed.
What happened next is what I call a true ‘Customer Service’ by Fidel (who manages the Wine Bar). We were sitting at a bar table waiting to order our food, but saw Fidel moving back and forth with stuff in the nearby dining area that was sort of closed. Next he waved us in, and to our surprise he had set up an elegant table just for us. That one initiative by Fidel touched us deeply— thank you! We ordered drinks, meatballs and fettuccine pasta with shrimp. Food and service were spot on excellent. Try their meatballs if you are...
Read moreWe had dinner here the last night of our honeymoon at the resort. Things we loved about it: the food: we're gluten-free and the server made it easy to work with the chef to craft almost anything on the menu gluten-free including a beautiful and delicious antipasto plate! the drink cart! Gilberto made a fabulous old fashioned and shared which ingredients he made from scratch live music the overall ambiance
Things we'd recommend they change: while we loved having the live music and it was songs we loved too, it was WAY too loud. We were sat at a table near the entrance and almost right next to the musician. We should have asked to move. We could barely hear each other talking. the lights for the wall art were extremely bright, which made the entire restaurant even brighter and not necessarily the dark, romantic Italian restaurant we had expected
Overall, we'd recommend this place and look forward...
