The guys who provided the boat to us could not have been nicer and more helpful. Giethoorn is a stunningly beautiful little village which you must see if you get the chance. Now for the down side to my review. If there were a way to separate my view of those guys from my experience of Giethoorn then I'd do it. But as I can't, I have to give the lowest possible score. Why am I doing this ? 2 reasons. Some idiots, grown men, in a large powerful boat, drove it close to our boat at speed, across a small lake at the top of the village. As this boat went past us, the waves it created nearly capsized our boat. The boat behind us was full of small children and I could hear them screaming with fear as the waves from the idiots' boat nearly capsized the boat with the children in it. Is this how intelligent grown men should behave ? Some young kids in a motorised boat then forced us over to the side of the narrow channel near one of the bridges. Again, we nearly capsized. My wife's handbag, our clothing and some spare clothing and other items were all soaked. Luckily our phones and cards still worked. I guess puerile young kids will often behave like this. God knows we've got enough young prats in the UK. But for grown men to do what they did is just not acceptable. Finally I want to say again that the people who provide you with your boat are great, really helpful, fluent in English, but they're trying to run a business. It's just not possible for them to run their business and police other people's behaviour at the same time. It's something that the Giethoorn authorities need to police, that is, if they...

Boat was okay. However, until we get on the the boat, our experience was disappointing! We called them couple of times to make sure that we are going to the right location. Because the link in the mail was not working. Nobody picked up. Finally someone picked up the phone and we learned that we were going to wrong location. We politely said that we might be 10 minutes late because the location was not clear and the link was not working and the guy on the phone started to yell at us. He said ‘’This is not my problem and my fault you are responsible to be here on time! Don’t tell me I am wrong!’’ and he hang up the phone. We were shocked! We could not even explain ourselves. It was impolite and not professional. The person who helped us to get on the boat was nice and approachable and the tour was generally okay. Still I don’t...

Was an ok experience. Checked their website, said to call, called them, they told me to book online. I arrived 15 mins early to their location, took them over 10 minutes to service the two people in front of me, and then I was directed to go to another location a few minutes away (by car), so I ended up missing my original cruise and had to hop onto the next one. There isn’t that much to talk about over Giethoorn, so the cruise was slightly boring, but our guide was super friendly! We were offered beverages before take off. Dog friendly cruise.
