Roompot Zandvoort — Local services in Zandvoort

We had booked this stay back in December 2019. Due to the current COVID-19 situation we were asking before our arrival if it was okay to check-in with people coming from more than one household. We had received a written confirmation that it was okay to check-in and that we were warmly welcome. Upon our arrival today we were told that exactly the opposite was the case. The staff at the reception did not accept us and when we referred to the written confirmation the reaction was that they don’t care about this at all. We should find another solution. There was no understanding, no will to find a solution / alternative. As Zandvoort is completely booked at the moment we now have to drive back to our home towns - spending more than 8 hours in the car is the opposite of having a relaxed time at the Sea Lodges. What is really incredible about this situation - on our request we were told that they could not even confirm us that we will receive our money back! Never again, this location cannot be recommended at all. If we will not have our money back, we will be forced to involve a lawyer. And we found out that there were many other people in front of the reception with exactly the same problem. So this cannot be a...

A large group of us stayed at the Coffee Camp for a week in December. It was fantastic. Plenty of private space as well as group space. The rooms were well equipped except for paper products, which you have to buy your own after the initial that is provided is gone. Small hassle but no big deal. Kitchens have everything you need to prepare a meal except food. Great location, right at the beach, 20 minute walk to a grocery, 5 minutes to a bus stop that will take you directly to Zandvoort or Haarlem. Small store on site with essentials. Friendly and helpful staff. Only negative was the coffee machine only made a couple cups before it broke. They got a repair person out and it made one more cup and broke again. They provided additional nespresso pods as a consolation which, while not the same, was ok. They probably need to ditch the temperamental machine and just provide grinders and drip machines, or simple espresso machines. The fancy one probably isn't the best for a bunch of hotel guests trying to figure out every week. Definitely want to come back...

Zu den Rahmenbedingungen: Wir waren mit 6 Personen vom 05.09.22 bis zum 12.09.22 in einem 6er Bungalow im Roompot Zandvoort. Insgesamt wurde der Aufenthalt von allen als sehr positiv wahrgenommen :) Da nichts perfekt ist möchte ich auf ein paar positive sowie negative Punkte eingehen.

Negativ:

das WLAN ist zwar kostenlos, allerdings hatten wir ab und zu Probleme mit der Qualität und Verfügbarkeit. Dies war vor allem in den Abendstundender Fall in denen dieses wahrscheinlich sehr häufig und stark genutzt wurde. Streamen war tatest möglich, allerdings nicht in sonderlich hoher Qualität. Ist natürlich auch die Frage ob das in einem Urlaub das wichtigste sein sollte :))

Da wir zu 6. waren sind wir mit zwei Autos angereist. Allerdings ist auf dem Gelände pro Bungalow nur ein Parkplatz vorgesehen vorgesehen, weswegen wir ein Auto auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz abstellen mussten. Hier wurden uns von der Rezeption zwei Parkplätze vorgeschlagen, so dass wir für ca. 30€ in der Woche parken konnten (Parkeerplaats De Zuid; ca. 3km entfernt). Zum Be- und Entladen der Fahrzeuge wurden dann jeweils beide Fahrzeuge auf das Gelände gelassen.

Wir hatten alle direkt im Roompot Fahrräder gebucht. Diese haben eine 7-Gang Narbenschaltung und waren vom Stil her Damen-/Hollandräder. Qualitativ waren diese natürlich nicht die hochwertigsten. Beim schalten musste oft mit Gefühl vorgegangen werden. Bei einem Rad war die Schaltung schon beschädigt und erlitt nach 2 Tagen einen kompletten Defekt. Dieses Rad wurde uns ohne Umständen sehr schnell ersetzt. Die Räder haben sowohl Klingel und Lichter. Es ist zu empfehlen einen Helm mit zubringen!

Positiv:

Absolut positiv ist die Einrichtung des Bungalows zu erwähnen. Die lange Tafel, sowie der Wohnzimmerbereich laden zu entspannten Abenden ein und auch draußen sind Sitzmöglichkeiten gegeben. Die zweite Toilette hat sich als extrem wichtig erwiesen. Offene Duschen finde ich persönlich weniger schön, aber das liegt im Auge des Betrachters. Die Küche war ausreichend ausgestattet. Eine ordentliche Kaffeemaschine wäre allerdings noch wünschenswert. Die Wäschespinne an der Außenwand ist vor allem nach Strand Tagen sehr positiv zu erwähnen :)

Die Lage ist optimal. Bis zum Strand ist es nur einmal über die Straße. Supermarkt sowie Bahnhof sind 5 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad entfernt ( durch den Gepäckträger mit Schnellspeicher sind (+Rucksack) Einkäufe mit dem Fahrrad sehr gut möglich)

Check in und Check out verliefen sehr schnell, ohne Wartezeit und reibungslos. Bei Problemen (s. Fahrrad) wurde eine sofortige Lösung angeboten. Nach der Hälfte unserer Aufenthaltsdauer wurden uns neue Handtücher gebracht, was ich ebenfalls als sehr angenehm empfunden habe.

Und hat der Urlaub insgesamt sehr gut gefallen und es spricht, trotz der kleinen negativen Aspekte, nichts gegen einen Erneuten Aufenthalt im Roompot Zandvoort.

PS: Das von einreihen angesprochene Problem mit der Hitze kann ich nicht bestätigen, allerdings haben die Temperaturen bei uns maximal 30 Grad Celsius erreicht. Außerdem habe ich während unseres Aufenthalts mehrer Wechsel der Fenster im OG beobachtet. Hier wurden die Bodentiefen Fenster ersetzt die sich oben komplett...
