Buddha Beach Bungalows — Hotel in Zandvoort

After our first visit with Buddha Beach Bungalows in May 2022 we came back in August of 2024 for the weekend of the Dutch Grand Prix.

The Bungalows are easily one of the cleanest we‘ve ever encountered even compared to 4+ Hotels. The beds can be a bit short for taller people, but they‘re fairly comfortable. Again, better than in some 4+ Hotels we‘ve stayed in recently. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself for a couple of days. At both our stays we cooked every night and that was never an issue.

The location itself is incredible of course. The view from the couch or the table is amazing and you probably wouldn‘t even need the TV. I always have a chromecast or Roku Stick with me when traveling, so i don’t always have to setup streaming services everywhere i go. Both worked absolutely fine with the provided WiFi, which is also exclusive for your bungalow and works really good.

You have to be aware that the bungalows are essentially „bigger tiny houses“, but absolutely sufficient for two people. The bathroom isn‘t that big but still, you have a full shower, toilet, etc. These bungalows are literally on the beach in the sand, so of course you‘ll get sand in there everytime you open the door or windows, especially when there’s heavy winds like on the GP weekend. Just do it carefully and you‘ll be fine. We went through the bungalow everyday with the provided cleaning equipment and everything was fine. There was a lot going on when we stayed there, but the bungalows seem to hold off a lot of the noise coming from other beach clubs or the party that went on at the Boulevard. So it was pretty quiet in there. The AC is doing a good job cooling the place down even from very high temperatures.

The owners make you feel very welcome and are super nice. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and try to help in every way they can. They helped us out a lot over the GP weekend since Zandvoort is pretty much locked down and closed for traffic. Thanks again for your hospitality and I’m sure this wasn‘t our last...

Superschöne Lage direkt am Strand. Genau dafür zahlt man den extrem hohen Preis, und genau das bekommt man auch, eine superschöne Lage. Ansonsten sind die Bungalows jedoch nicht sehr komfortabel, sondern erinnern eher an simple Camping-Bungalows. Das „Doppelbett“ ist auch nur was für Leute, die sich sehr sehr lieb haben. ;D Nicht zuletzt auch weil es nur eine einzige Decke gibt, die sich beide Personen teilen müssen. Extrem kleines Schlafzimmer mit einem in zwei Ecken gequetschten 140er Bett, in dem de facto nur eine Person vernünftig und gemütlich nächtigen kann. Ich habe meine Begleitung im Bett schlafen lassen und habe selbst vorlieb mit der extrem durchgesessenen Couch genommen (und eine von zuhause mitgebrachte Decke verwendet) und mich gewundert, dass ich davon keine allzu starken Rückenschmerzen bekam. Auch das Bad ist extrem klein und hat schlecht gerochen, weswegen ich mich dort lieber nicht geduscht habe. Es ging also mehr in Richtung Glamping mit Einschränkungen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und der Service ist auch toll, auch weil das Strandrestaurant gleich nebenan ist und man sich dort den ganzen Tag etwas zu essen und zu trinken holen kann, wenn man will. Alles in allem also ganz ok, die Lage ist einfach toll, aber wir hoffen, dass wir noch eine andere Unterkunft mit ähnlich toller Lage aber besserer Ausstattung finden werden und würden daher nicht noch einmal dort...

Prachtig huisje! Wij verbleven hier 3 nachten en hebben elke dag genoten. Het uizicht op de zee wordt je nooit beu. Je kan van op je terras, je eettafel en je zetel altijd naar de zee kijken. In het huisje is ook vanalles aanwezig zoals afwasblokjes voor de vaatwasser, handdoeken, sponsjes, keukenhanddoeken. Wij raden echter wel aan van eventueel een dekentje mee te nemen als je nog laat wilt buiten zitten, dit is niet aanwezig. Het huisje heeft veel ramen voor het uitzicht en wordt hierdoor snel warm, maar dit is geen enkel probleem want de airco dat er hangt koelt het huisje zeer snel. Je kan ik de buurt ook leuke fietstochten doen, wandelen, naar het gezellig dorpje en naar de verschillende leuke...
