Prices are expensive especially for being reheated meals that are not freshly carved or cooked. However i gave the extra star because the lady is friendly, I don't believe she prices the meals, I think her husband does and she just goes along with it because she said she doesn't agree with the prices either. But you seriously need to look at redesigning your menu. Having too many options on your menu is the first sign of a bad restaurant/food shop. Too many items means you can't focus on 1 thing, and therefore the quality of your meals are compromised. 1.- If you are going to be a roast shop, stick with just making roast meals, and make them all fresh like other roast shops do advertised in the heated glass display, people eat with their eyes, so if they 'SEE' and smell delicious roast meals as they walk past, they'll be more inclined to walk in. If you want to do BBQ or chinese food, then stay with making only chinese food. 2. Drop your prices, you will build more customers and make more money for your business by building strong regular customers, not by pricing things high and or ripping people off. If you keep the beautiful smile on your face, not yelling in front of customers, which I have read in some of the reviews, you will see the improvements with getting people into your store. Lack of business, is from the poor design or how your business works, there is no structure...Young lady is playing on her ipad, nana is sitting in front of the store on her phone, noone is stationed at the front of the business to serve because you don't get enough business. Your business could do very well if you focus on customer relations, food pricing and clear and concise prices of your meals written up on a board for everyone to see when they walk in to purchase. Just a quick tip from an Ex-chef, and owning...
Read moreWe have ordered from this place 2 times and both experiences weren't satisfactory. Normally I don't review and I feel terrible but this was just so disappointing I need to and based on other reviews I'm not the first person doing this. The first time my partner and I ordered boba (bubble tea) from the place and when it arrived it was just plain, overpowering sugary syrup that was so sickening we ended up tipping it down the sink and saying we wouldn't get it again. But, we decided to give the store another chance tonight and ordered different flavoured bubble tea again as well as chips and a roast chicken sandwich. I didn't think my disappointment could drop but it did, the boba was once again so syrupy once again and the other boba which was supposed to be black caramel was super bitter, once again both down the sink as it was undrinakable. The fries were soggy and tasted of a little bit of salt However the main disappointment was the roast chicken sandwich my partner ordered, I mean, c'mon, the bread was soft/soggy on the top, and hard if not stale on the bottom, and every bite he took, every bite, had bones in it. Once again, inedible. We gave a second chance and can understand the hard work that gets put into your business, but the food was very disappointing and we were left...
Read moreI ordered from here as I am currently on a mission to try all local cuisine in the Hibiscus Coast area.
I ordered: BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Wontons, Pork and Chive Dumplings.
#1 BBQ Pork Fried Rice Underseasoned and dry chewy pork. Rice was barely fried. Had to refry at home and add some soy sauce, salt, pepper and msg.
#2 Sweet and Sour Chicken Soggy chicken pieces and a generic sauce. Was it sweet.. yes was it sour.. kind of? No salt whatsoever didn’t really do much for me. Needed some extra love.
#3 Wontons Generously filled. Not as light and crispy as one would hope but they were still good.
#4 Pork and Chive Dumplings Well steamed melt in your mouth with ample flavour. Some were falling apart but that’s to be expected from takeaway. The accompanying sauces were well paired. Choice of salty or spicy or both!
Honourable mention - Drinks. I got my wife a coke however it was covered in dirt and what looked like bits of food as if it had been rolled over a prep station. I also ordered a monster and when the lady grabbed it out of the fridge it was room temp. Fridges weren’t even on.
I had high hopes for this one but sadly I wouldn’t recommend as far as Chinese Food goes. Yet to try their roasts but feeling...
