Tai Ping Asian Supermarket Pakuranga太平亚洲食品超市 — Local services in Howick

This morning, I grabbed the last 3 Spinach bags off the shelf (small bag section) as it was advertised on the wall, small $2.49 and big bags $7.99 … there were none available on the $7.99 shelf. When I got to the checkout, I was charged 1 @ $7.99 and 2 @ 2.49 I said to the operator that it was advertised at $2.49 per bag; and the bags I got were in the ‘small bags’ shelf, she wouldn’t listen so she called another worker in the store who came and said it’s $7.99 without going to the shelf to verify… so I said, I wouldn’t take the $7.99 bag and will only take the 2 x $2.49, I didn’t check the receipt in store when I paid until I got home and see that I was charged $7.99 per bag for the two small bags.. I often shopped at this store, I found it disconcerting that operators could hardly understand what I was talking about .. today demonstrated daylight robbery on the side of TaiPing and I wonder who else got ripped off because of the incompetence of the workers. .. the service was very poor and the operators were talking in their own...

Had the worst experience, came to shop this evening after work, I didn't know I parked in the staff parking, it's dark at night there was nothing blocking the entrance so I drove in , there's a lady came out ask if I park there I said yes then I walk towards the supermarket, then she start yelling at me, said can't you read its staff parking move your car. It's dark at night there a faded marking on the ground I don't even notice until she pointed out... so rude, I'm a customer I'm here to spent not for you to yelled at me . I ask for her name for complain she refused and said 'I'm the manager' never going back to this junk place. Shop are also so dirty, only going there cause just on the way home, there is so many new asian supermarket close by now with much better environment...

I shopped this Sunday around 5pm, the staff at counter so impolite, she said in Mandarin of how much but I don't generally communicating in Mandarin though I am Chinese and she so impatiently shouted loudly again in Mandarin. I remember it was the last counter near the corner. This was the second time bad incident from this shop'Counters. I think the manager should look into the staff'attitude and explain to them they are just the door persons and should brush up with their English, just speaking Chinese is no use in Western countries. By the way, just want to share that the Tai Ping in Meadowlands is much better, the staff there are polite and value customer. This means the Manager in this shop is professional in...
