I used to buy hot chips all the time as this takeaway sell nice crispy hot chips but today, the chips tastes old, chewy and fatty, it's like it was cooked earlier and was left at the shop which I suspected they just heated and gave to me so I returned it; the owner agreed that it tastes old and offered to refund my money. I am a regular customer there that's how I can tell the difference, my daughter also tasted it and agreed it was chewy.. the owner said, he's just a little customer and the big company he bought the 'expensive' chips from won't listen if he complained, but at least lodge the complaint anyway, they wouldn't know if you don't complain(if it is something to do with the chips before it was cooked), etc. Whilst at the shop my daughter ordered the wedges over the phone and I pay for it with the refund the wedges costs $8, I paid $10 for the chips, I had to ask for the $2 back! That's when the owner told me to go and buy chips from elsewhere next time! Come on! That's not how you treated your customers, especially regulars ... the worst thing was they (owner, his wife and the mother) were talking in their own language before handing me the $2. You have just lost 3 customers who are regulars. Next time use the complaint to improve and be courteous in how you treated...

The golden sea horse takeaway is my local go to for a easy feed . The owners are a family run operation they make the effort to get to know you by name and face . Many options available from fish n chips to the classic Chinese dishes . The serving sizes are big . There sweet and sour pork is proper good . They've been operating in that location for many years now and always have a gray smile and there food gives me a smile . Very consistent with the quality and potion sizes .
