Mangere Lawn Cemetery & Crematorium — Local services in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

It would be so good to have extra rubbish bins out in anticipation of whānau/family/aiga coming to visit during special times of the year. When a minimal number of small bins are left out, trash overflows and blows onto burial sites especially those close to bin areas. Highly distressing and very sad! Please put more bins out. Some people that visit their loved ones graves don’t have any respect for their surroundings and other people. They bring speakers booming their music VERY loudly, having bbq’s, sitting on other peoples graves and drinking like they’re at a party. Having visited my husband’s mother and grandmother at Mangere Cemetery on 26/1/2024, below is our observation:

The cemetery is well-maintained. Toilets are clean and tidy. Many beautiful flowers are planted near toilet area.
