An overall good stay here at Auckland Airport Motel, however there were definitely some things that let it down. Motel is in a fantastic location, close to the Airport, plus all the off site, Rental Car and Parking Places, and also the Airport Shopping Precinct. The State Highway 20 Motorway is also easily accessed. I was really thankful to be allowed to Check In early, so I could dump my gear, before flying off down Country for the Afternoon. The Lady at Reception was extremely friendly and easy to talk too. Excellent directions to my room at the back of the complex. The exterior of the Motel is showing age. However the property is in a state of complete renovation by the looks of it, with pretty much all rooms around mine fully gutted and unoccupied. This made for a INCREDIBLY peaceful and quiet night, as all the other guests were in the other renovated rooms at the front on the complex. My room, had been renovated and still had that fresh paint and furniture smell. The smell outside the unit, was not so nice however, with a strong Sewage smell that was very offensive. Certainly meant I could open any of the windows. Parking was available directly in front of all the rooms, which made loading and unloading a breeze! The room was tastefully decorated, and I could see a lot of thought had gone into the layout, and also storage options for Suitcases/Gear ect. The main part of the room had a Large King Bed with crisp, clean linen, and also a comfy couch in front of the TV on the wall. The TV just had the basic Freeview Channels. A small Kitchenette lay against the back wall, which had all the basic stuff you would find in a Motel. The bathroom, also had been renovated, and was quite spacious. Large Vanity and a big sliding door shower. Shower pressure wasn't great, but definitely adequate. All the towels were white and fluffy. The Toiletries provided were good quality and there were plenty of them. I had a very quiet, comfortable and restful night here at the Auckland Airport Motel. However I do have some gripes. - The Air Conditioning Unit was covered in Mould! (Photo attached) Like absolutely filthy and dangerous for people with Lung Issues. No way was I going to even turn that thing on. Better to take my chances with the windows open, smelling sewage on this muggy Autumn night. This really does need to be addressed by the Motel and Cleaning Staff. It is a Health Hazard, and it is clear these AC Units have not been touched in a LOOONG time. - Some of the Cutlery was pretty grubby and dirty. Clearly not washed and dried, rather just used and thrown straight back in the drawer. Gross. - a small gripe here, but only a few tiny pottles of UHT Milk provided. Oh what a difference a small bottle of fresh milk makes!!! So all in all, a good stay here. But definitely was not impressed by some of the Cleanliness. Get that up to scratch, and this place will be one to go to! The rooms have definitely been renovated nicely and tastefully. And the price was excellent for the offering.

Auckland Airport Motel ━━━━ ☐ Shuttle TO airport was awesome! Closed TO early tho (6pm) for them to pick us up at airport:( ── ☐ Liked bed lay-out for our group - 1Q and 2T ── ☐ AC ── ☐ Mini kitchen is well-enough stocked. ── ☐ Weird location - feels like I was in the middle of a weird sparse neighborhood/industry area. Nothing really nearby except an Indian/chjnese restaurant and market. Was a bit worried when we drove up to it… ── ☐ Comfy ── ☐ Clean ── ☐ Shower is great ──

Perfect example of a well represented hotel. Did exactly as promised. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and there was a lot of pillow choice. My issues were: Mosquitos in the room. Lots of them. Noisy people in the room next to me. Still a good place to stay.

Made a last minute booking at this property on Booking.com as I had to move my flight to the following morning and this property was close to the airport.||I’m self employed and I made the booking when leaving my last clients site at 4:15pm. I immediately drove to the property and arrived at 5:02pm. On arrival I found reception was closed and there was a note saying to check my emails for the after hours check-in process.||After checking my emails I found nothing other than their automated Booking.com reply which read…||“Note: Reception closes 5pm Mon-Fri. Sat/Sun Reception closes at 7pm.|NO late checkins after this time unless prearranged with motel first, if your booking has been prepaid in advance we will make arrangements with you on the day that you check in to have your room key collected from a lock box allocated just for you so that you are still able to check in after hours”||I tried to ring the intercom at the door twice and there was no answer. I contacted Booking.com and they advised that a refund request had been submitted to the property and it would be reviewed under their own discretion.||Booking.com notified me today that the property declined my request for a full refund. I have continued to dispute this. If the property continues to decline my request, I have grounds to place a chargeback request with my bank as I have paid for a service I did not and was not able to receive.||My main dispute here is - not once did this property try to contact me via phone or email while reception was still open to give me instructions to check-in after hours leaving me with no choice other than to book elsewhere.||I ended up booking at Naumi Auckland Airport and had a wonderful stay without incident.||If this property could not fulfill the booking request in the 45 minutes the booking was made and reception closing - they should’ve stop sold their inventory earlier.||Beware of this property’s archaic and convoluted checkin window. Pretty poor form for a property in the market for clientele of a...
