Upon arrival at nearly 4 pm, we were asked to wait in the dining area as our room was still being cleaned upon which we would be then sent to our room with the person from reception to see if our room was okay then we could go back and pay. When we got to the room there was rubbish and alcohol bottles everywhere and outdoor furniture coated with graffiti. We were presented with our clean room but the overwhelming stench of bleach was overpowering. When asked if the room was okay to stay in (we've travelled three hours to get there and had no other motels organized) so we said it'll do when in front of several families hanging around if it was okay to be with people from work and income staying as emergency housing occupants. This was never stated by the hotel until this moment. I believe everyone has the right to a roof over their heads but with the way this hotel is being treated, I'm sure the gesture isn't appreciated by these temporary residents. After going back and paying for the room I returned to the room and opened the curtains and windows to try to remove the bleach smell and get some fresh air when the people next door stood drinking and had no intention of stopping their kids stare through the window whilst one blew a whistle loudly none stop. I have now returned to reception and asked to be moved or refunded so I could take my family elsewhere which I was told the entire hotel was booked so I've then asked for a refund to be told I could get another room upstairs. This was great for the hotel to do as it was a nicer part of the hotel to stay (quieter as well) however the room was filthy. An old bag of rubbish from the previous people was there and the dirt on the shower floor was horrendous. Paint peeling off the walls and the table with the television on barely standing as it was broken but in terms of what we were first offered and the time of day I wasn't prepared to fight to get a refund and find...
Read moreAhhhh , I would rate it a 1 but that's not even possible 🙄.
Reading back on past reviews , I wish I red them before booking ( my fault ).
Apon checking in , I didn't look at the time and I was to early, walking through the doors their was no greeting apon entrance, all we got was, " your to early " and reception carried on 🙄. ( Came back at 3.00pm Walking to our room seemed ok till we got closer , and it looked run down and not looked after. Dirty linen outside my room along side full rubbish bags ( not a good look ). Opened the door and the room looked good. Untill we checked for the basics
-no tea towel ( asked reception for one ,and was given a BATH towel and said use this , or a face cloth ) 🤢 - ADD ON
another toilet roll, as their was no spear
-and exchange money notes for coins for their laundry.
First of all. NO HOTEL should be letting BATHROOM LINEN in to the kitchen for use what so ever. Thoes two things need to be kept separate!!.
Second of all - ALWAYS have spear toilet paper put away! Common sense. And add on from the bathroom , when I checked under the sink for a spear toilet roll their was a USED women's sanatry pad 🤢🤢 , that had put me off majorly!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!!
Thirdly - reception exchanging notes for coins was no problem - but the washing machine was disgusting!! 🤢 , Gunk and all sorts all through the machine , in and out of it - anyone could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time!!!
Basic hygine is just lacking so bad at this motel, it's actually sad. No care in detail what so ever - this has to be the most unhygienic, uninviting, rude customer service motel I have ever been to / revived. Would not recommend this motel to ANYONE!!
Kiwi airport motel , use need to stop apologizing after everyone's truthful reviews and actually do something about it , because in a nut shell, everyone has had the same problem and nothings changed. Hygine is...

Before booking at this hotel we enquirer about storage of our luggage in the event that we arrived early. We were assured that there was a secure storage facility for our luggage and that there was a restaurant should we need to wait. Upon arrival to the Kiwi Airport Hotel (a little early as anticipated) we were directed to an open storage room with no security or locking in site. We stored our bags hesitantly and then proceeded to the restaurant, it was only then that we realized that the restaurant was not open for lunch and we were directed 10mins down the road to kill time.
Once checked in and in our room we discovered that we were only provided enough towels and toiletries for one person (there were 3 of us). The bathroom was disgusting, floors were dirty and there was no where to hang towels etc. Milk in the fridge was off and not much else was provided.
When we got to the restaurant for dinner we were greeted with sour faces and little more than a hello. Once seated we were asked "what do you want". We noticed during our stay that this poor welcome was not extended to all guests but only some.
We also dined (if you would call it that) at the restaurant for breakfast which was dreadful. For $18 we were given a highly overlooked hash brown, runny scrambled eggs, one tiny quarter of tomato, a barely cooked sausage and what looked like two very small peices of cold bacon. This also came accompanied by a continental breakfast which was all empty when we arrived, there was also no cutlery or crockery to be seen. The only item of the breakfast that was topped up was the milk and I would assume this is due to the fact that no one had cups to use. There were 8 uncleared tables and one staff member wandering around not clearing...
