Over the weekend, I had the unexpected pleasure of joining a mystery getaway to Queenstown with my partner, who was invited by her company. With Saturday unexpectedly free, I decided to seize the moment and embark on a motorcycle tour. I casually inquired about this during a networking event on Friday evening, and to my surprise, within 15 minutes, Marchin from Adventure Bikes Company had already reached out to book me in for the following day.

I must admit, I was somewhat confident on a bike, but Marchin wasted no time and took us straight to New Zealand's most dangerous road. Now, I forgot to mention one tiny detail – I am absolutely petrified of heights. Anything taller than a 2-step ladder sends shivers down my spine. Marchin's skilful navigation of the route ensured that I could focus on the experience rather than my apprehensions.

Following the thrilling ride along the most dangerous road, Marchin led us to Glenorchy, where the adventure continued onto dirt trails. From small river crossings to some of the most picturesque views of Queenstown and its surrounds, the tour included it all.

I had one of the best experiences in my travels with Marchin. This was exactly what I was hoping for to explore Queenstown. Within 10-15mins we were already hitting the backcountry trails and spent majority of the time there.

I have been riding for a little more than two years. While I am confident on a cruiser, this was my first time on an ADV bike in the backcountry trails! Marchin was supportive all the way along and tailored the experience to my level.

I came upon Marcin and his company, Adventure Bikes Company, through a google search, as I wanted to rent an Adventure Bike to tour the South Island. I am so glad Marcin replied so promptly. He offers motorcycle tours and rentals from Queenstown, which suited me perfectly. All communication with Marcin while we finalised my trip was fantastic. He arrived at my Hotel right on time with my awesome looking Yamaha Tenere 700. The bike was immaculately prepared, complete with an excellent soft luggage system. I even got an impromptu bike tour around the secret spots of Queenstown, with Marcin showing me his favourite riding spots. My 8 day ride went without a hitch, the bike and luggage were perfect and I was blown away with the Magnificent beauty of the South Island of New Zealand. It is a must do item for motorcyclists.
