Our family of six recently celebrated a special occasion in Queenstown, NZ, and we had the absolute pleasure of engaging Chef Fabien Simon from My Private Chef. It was, without question, one of the most memorable and enjoyable dining experiences we’ve ever had.
We chose the grazing menu, and every single dish was not only exquisitely delicious but also beautifully presented—true works of art on a plate. Fabien brought everything with him: the food, cutlery, plates, glasses, serving dishes, and even printed menus. He set the table, prepared and served each course with care, and left the kitchen spotless after each round.
Fabien’s professionalism was matched only by his warmth and charm. He served us with a smile and joined in on our family’s banter with ease, adding to the joy of the evening.

Fabien was very accomodating when we had to change dates due to covid lockdowns. We booked Fabien and team to prepare a 4 course meal (2 entrees, 1 main, 1 dessert) for our mums 60th and it was truely a perfect way to celebrate. The experience from start to finish was outstanding. Fabien arrived with all of the equipment required for the whole meal, including plates/cutlery - we didn’t need to do a thing.
