Incredible experience !!
Me and my wife booked with arctic breeze well in advance for an aurora tour on our 1st day of visit to Tromsø. It was overcast and snowy on the day of our arrival. When we contacted Brynjar, he advised us to postpone the tour without any charge to the following days as we were going to be in Tromsø for the next 3 nights.
The very next day although it was still cloudy we insisted Brynjar on doing the tour. Oscar was our guide for that day and he really worked hard to find good openings for us to view the aurora light. We were lucky to spot them on that day. But we were still hungry to view the lights in its full glory, so called up Brynjar on our last day at Tromso to book us for another trip as the weather and aurora forecast was really good that night. Despite a short notice, he happily booked us for the tour.
We went to few beautiful spots with great views, but there was no aurora activities whatsoever. Meanwhile they served us with cookies and hot chocolate to keep us warm and our spirits high. They provided thermal clothing and boots to comfort us in the freezing cold. After chasing for almost 2 hours, finally Brynjar and Oscar went extra miles and took us to a spot almost near the Finish border. It was a stunning landscape under the full-moon. In minutes the sky lit up with the green glow and started dancing in its full glory for more than an hour. They took great photos of us under the lights and emailed all the pics the very next day. It was really a mesmerising experience for both of us. We would recommend them highly for their trustworthy, honest and sincere efforts.
Thanks a lot Brynjar and Oscar for making our dream come true...
Read moreYou guys have made me very disappointed and angry. I booked your Aurora trip for 7 January on 22 December, the payment was successful, the email was received and the booking screen on get your guide was normal, but I never received my ticket, I messaged you two days before departure to ask you why I didn't receive my ticket, and you told me to check in at the start of the event and just give my name! You told me to report my name when I checked in at the start of the event. But when I arrived as scheduled, I was surprised to find that my name was not there, and the three people in charge at the time did not have a reasonable explanation, even after I showed all the evidence to prove that my booking was successful, but also insisted that the day was already full, and no longer pay attention to me, I will leave me where I was and drive the car away. It was not until I enquired with get your guide's customer service that I realised that there was a system problem and that even though I had successfully paid for my booking, there was no place for me. She was surprised that you had not double-checked and that you didn't realise the error even though I had asked. It would have been better if you had told me a day earlier that there were still options available to me, rather than learning about it later when I was declined and there were no options available at that point in time. You have so many positive reviews, I don't think this is the kind of cheap mistake you should be making, but it did happen to me, and I'm furious about it. I hope you can give me a reasonable explanation, I'm really disappointed in you guys, single Asian female customers shouldn't be...
Read moreViewing the Aurora Borealis/Northern lights was an amazing experience, out of this world! We were so lucky to get a long, wonderful show, dancing lights and all at our very first stop not too far from Tromsø city. We still drove ahead for more sightings, though the subsequent one didn't have the dancing lights like the first. Brynjar, the guide was wonderful! He is friendly, kind, very passionate, and knowledgeable with good photography skills and will help you get the right settings on your phone or camera to capture the northern lights. He is very patient and will do his best to ensure you have the best of experiences. He spotted a moose by the roadside and stopped for us to see it. He connected very well with the people on the tour.
The bus (like a mini-van, so quite cosy, not a big 50-60 seater tour bus) was very comfy, with adequate leg space and charging points. The guide offered thermal suits and had more winter gear should you need one. He also had very nice hot cocoa/chocolate drinks (oh..this was lovely in the freezing weather) and cookies for everyone.
He took individual/couple or group of friends' portraits for those on the tour, with the Aurora behind us. He then shared a link with all the portraits and aurora photos the following day... which was great for those of us who couldn't get very good photos on our phones. I would highly recommend the Aurora tour with Arctic Breeze AS, made my first night in...
