If you have access to this SAS lounge for free because of your loyalty card points or status: fine. You should definitely enjoy your access. However, if, like us, you actually payed (or consider paying) for it: donât. Itâs seriously overpriced â we payed some 27 EUR/person. On a regular Tuesday afternoon it was rather crowded â not overly, but still pretty hard to get some feeling of privacy or seclusion. The point being that one can experience such limited crowdedness basically anywhere in the public shopping / food area of the airport for FREE â and with better quality & less expensive food as well (which you obviously would have to pay for, but which would still be cheaper than paying for the lounge access). Case in point: apart from two soup-options, +no+ warm food/meal whatsoever was available, which, compared to other airport lounges I have attended, seems evidently below par. Next week Iâm flying back to Oslo and itâs clear to me that Iâll be better off using the publicly available food+resting facilities of the quite spacious airport itself than this lounge, which essentially has no unique...
Read moreMy first visit to the lounge after qualifying for SAS Gold. Lots of available space on my Sunday morning travels and at that time, things were still clean and tidy. Plenty of food and drink out for the breakfast "rush". The machine-made cappuccino, however, was less than inspiring, and I'd have been happy with the instant coffee at home. I am used to being able to pick up a printed copy of the local business paper when travelling through the Qantas lounges in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, so was a little surprised not to see any in the gold lounge here; but was perhaps more disappointed that only the prior month's Scandinavian Traveler magazine was on display, when the current month was available on the plane - didn't seem much of a recognition for loyalty if the masses can access that magazine and not those sitting in the lounge. Will be interesting to see how the lounge appears if I get the change to visit at a busier...
Read moreThe SAS lounge at Gardermoen offers a comfortable and modern space, perfect for travelers looking to relax or work before their flight. The design is clean and functional, with plenty of seating options, including quiet areas for those needing to focus. The food selection is diverse, featuring a mix of hot and cold dishes that cater to different tastes, alongside a well-stocked beverage bar offering both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. One minor drawback is that during peak travel hours, the lounge can become crowded, which may slightly reduce the overall comfort. However, despite this, the SAS lounge at Gardermoen maintains a high standard and offers a pleasant and efficient experience...
