Looking at the murky skies. I step my foot down the metro stairs. I’ve finally arrived at Almu’aigliah Market and I’m met with endless beige, bustling streets mirroring vast deserts. Streets solely illuminated with sultry lanterns. an ocean of somber blackness tinctured only by orange hues. Walking in the market I’m struck with the all consuming aroma of the perfumers and the spice dealers’ shops. Delicate crimson red saffron, and brown brittled oud paint their shop windows in rich earthy colors. Crowded overflowing abaya shops With an endless supply of every color, and every cut of every season. Venerable bodega that hold nostalgic snacks.The children’s laughter fills the air. The bargains of women, the honking cars, and the calls of merchants add to the symphony. Constructing a choir of comfort. And I’m drawn in even deeper with the scent of cheap fried potatoes in red cones my grandmother used to buy me, that are won only after a long day of walking around the market. Almaigliah is huge mall that has local shops. I have been going to Almaigliah for a few years now, and it has been a stable for all my necessities.

First when you enter the building of Almaigliah 2. I get a whiff of that beautiful aromatic scent of Oud and the trail of dokhhon everywhere you go, it is such a unique thing for Almaigliah.

There is also a building for the clothing shops totally separate than the perfume building.

I also always shop at Altaemir it is also an old local shop; it is beside Almaigliah so close, I go there to buy spices, nuts and most importantly saudi coffee! There are plenty of shops they always serve that delicious hot saudi coffee nuts, chocolate you name it. And what I actually like about Altaemir is that I can buy a Abya and then a dress and then some cashews, it is a one spot for all.

Ladies' Clothing and Abayas, clothing was elegant with many shops offering the traditional wear 👗
