I had a very disappointing experience at the Pakistani Fruits and Vegetables shop in the Al Wazarat area of Riyadh. The first issue is the unreasonably high prices – much higher than other local markets or even big supermarkets. For a small basket of basic vegetables, they charged almost double the normal rate. When I asked about the price difference, the shopkeeper was rude and gave no proper explanation.

The prices are much higher than average, and the quality does not justify the cost. What’s worse is the deceptive packing practices.

One should always buy things from them after checking each and every piece. They behave very rudely of you try to check inside the boxes of mango or...
