Connected to Chinese garden. Although in Jul 2023, entrance to Chinese Garden is ongoing construction. There are shops within the station too - Mr Bean, a bread shop within a coffee shop seeing Chinese food, Cheers nearby. There is also a toilet and ATMs within the station. Tortoise museum is no longer at Chinese garden (saw reviews mentioning that it is connected to the tortoise museum). Science centre, Jurong East swimming...

The northen strip of lakeside garden as well as chinese and japanese gardens are closed for development from 31.may 2019 .expected completion date end 2021. No lake scenery for sightseeing,/admiration. As trees give a good shadow onthe fields ,many foreign workers visit here for friendly grouping,picnics.
