We went yesterday, on Deepavali morning and there was a long queue to enter the temple. There were mothers with infants and elderly in the queue. When we approached the staff if they could have another line for elderly and mothers with infants, they said no and to join the regular queue.
The carpark and roads were filled with people walking dangerously slowing down traffic and a few of them nearly got knocked down while crossing the road. There were no proper barricades to control the crowds. Why didn’t the management deploy Cisco or at least put up safety barricades to manage the crowd situation?
I was there again today for Sashti. A temple member came up to us and said “You cannot sit here. You must sit there.” “You cannot do this.” “You cannot do that.” I was interrupted while in the midst of reading my prayers. They have their own useless rules and regulations but the management at this temple had absolutely no regards for road safety for the patrons and empathy for mothers with infants and elderly.
