I have been a loyal customer of this hair salon, and I wanted to take the time to write a heartfelt review to express my gratitude for the amazing service I've received during the years. My stylist, CK, has consistently provided me with outstanding haircuts and styling services that have left me feeling confident and looking my best.

From the moment I first sat in CK's chair 10 years ago (the time he was working in another saloon in Jurong Point), I knew I was in the hands of a true professional. Not only does he have a keen eye for detail, but he also has a natural talent for understanding my preferences and suggesting styles that perfectly suit my face shape and personal style. He is always up to date with the latest trends and techniques, ensuring that I never leave the salon feeling outdated or less than fabulous.

CK's passion for hair is evident in every snip of his scissors and every stroke of his brush. He is truly dedicated to his craft, and it shows in the quality of his work. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their customers' satisfaction and happiness as much as CK does.

Before I begin, I must say I am always so demanding. I am someone that is very hard to please. I always complain on poor services. However, I had a pleasant experience here. I need a haircut so badly but I am very choosy. I used to have my haircut in Punggol but now I’ve moved to Jurong. I googled for a salon for a haircut and make my way down to Espec without any appointment. Waited for slightly 5mins before the haircut begins. Their gesture wasn’t very cheerful or welcoming when I first entered the shop but as soon as the staff laid hands on my hair and started to ask about my preferences, I knew I was in good hands. I shared about my bad hair loss. The staff gave good advices. No hard selling. In fact, not a single attempt to sell anything at all. I am surprised and happy at the same time. Because I can get really very annoyed if anyone start a sales pitch. I hate sales pitch. Anyway, my hair turned out the way I pictured it. The hair wash was also good. A very thorough wash and a little massage! This is a salon I’d would definitely come back to. The shop is nice and the interior is modern for an “under the block shop”. I felt like I’m in a salon at the shopping mall. The staff that attended to me was CK! If u need a haircut, come and look for CK. He is soft spoken and gentle with your hair. I’m coming back for hair treatments in future! I hope the service standards remain as it is. Or...

(Update: Now that Bennie is no longer working here, my haircuts are no longer as cleanly cut and it's just not the same.)

Hidden gem! Affordable and quality haircuts. I've been struggling to find a hairdresser who would listen to what I wanted and who would do a consistent job for years and I think I finally found that at ESPEC. Really grateful for Bennie who cut my hair. She's incredibly meticulous, careful and thoughtful when she cut my hair and she took the time to explain why she's doing certain things and how the haircut works. I've never really had anyone explain the process to me before and she really helped me understand how to order the haircut. She's also good at clarifying what I want which is a relief because it reassures me that she's listening to my requests. Her haircuts are really clean because of the care she puts into them. I didn't realise my previous haircuts were so messy until now. No hardselling. It takes me about 45min to an hour to get here but its definitely worth it for the peace of mind and good service.
