I have been buying from Quan Shui Wet Market for the past 2 months. Joyce from customer service is a joy to talk to, always so prompt, polite and friendly! She always available for a little bit of banter like a lovely little sister. Their products are also very fresh, reasonably priced and well packed. The quality is even better than the wet markets I usually frequent. The greatest draw for me is that everything (yes, pork , chicken and even the vegetables) looks so clean and fresh to me. Thereās no drippy wet mess or foul smell. Especially the chicken, there is no foul smelling liquid that usually accompanies the meat once out of the packets, unlike those I get from supermarkets. The chicken skin has little to no residual feathers and the blood is also properly drained. Best of all, you donāt get lots of liquid coming out of the meat when you cook them (ie, they donāt soak/infuse the meat with water so as to increase the weight). The vegetables and groceries are packed neatly in brown paper bags that look so pretty, you donāt feel like creasing them⦠The iberico pork jowl from Quan Shui is fantastic and my kids love it. I have tried the all-in-one pork katsu set and the taste is fantastic! The ingredients given are just enough for the pork katsu and there is no wastage. The pig stomach and intestines are properly cleaned (100%) and ready for cooking which makes it so convenient! You really have to try ordering from them to really appreciate how good (the products and services) they are, and I guarantee you wonāt look back!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe live in Upper Bukit Timah area and after checking out the various markets near us, we ended up liking this place in Bukit Batok West the most, and have been coming here for many years.
The wet market has a main building plus lots of additional stalls along other buildings; maybe a bit confusing at the beginning but we've used to it. There's a large multi-story carpark next to it (and others around as well) but this one has a lift and it's just above a decent size Sheng Shiong supermarket. On weekends when we're there, Sheng Shiong often has taken a large chunk of the outside courtyard for additional fruits and vegetables.
The market as a whole is comprehensive. No problem getting fresh fish, chicken, pork, etc. Quite a few fruit stalls and we compare among them for the freshest and the best prices. We normally get the vegetables from Sheng Shiong nowadays; pre-COVID the market was better.
There are also food stalls in the market and also a fairly large food court adjoining the market. Lots of variety and I've done takeaway from at least half...

But for self collect it hav to be done at another location further. I didnt noticed that though it was stated up front.
