Rude and unprofessional staff at the ticket counter! I had won free tickets for a boat tour and when arrived there was a massive queue as it was peak time just before 8pm boat ride. I asked staff member behind the ticket booth where shall I go and she told me to queue like everyone else( I showed her me e tickets). After queuing for over 10min elderly Chinese woman asked another staff member for advice regarding my ticket and than turned to me and said “go there “ pointing to the building behind me. I asked her where exactly I need to go as there are mainly restaurants and she just kept saying block C and that people will find me( who and how ?!). I started getting nervous because boat was meant to leave soon and she still gave me no proper information. When I told her that I don’t understand where I need to go she rolled her eyes and said something in Chinese. As someone who is working in customer service and in a busy tourist attraction this staff member is lacking professionalism and needs additional training in customer service. One person can ruin perfectly fine and lovely...

This is the only jetty you can take the river cruise from. The others are all closed; I tried the Merlion jetty but it was shuttered. That means it’s very crowded at this one. You don’t need to buy tickets in advance. It’s actually faster if you don’t and just get them at the booth. When you come up to the booth, the line for buying tickets is at the window closest to the street. The right side of the window is for “E-ticket verification” and the left window is for buying tickets. The buying tickets line moved a lot faster. After you buy it, then get into the “Red line” by the boat dock. The whole ordeal took 20 minutes and we were on the boat. It was Saturday night so I was surprised it didn’t take longer. In August, the perfect time to go is 7:15pm when it’s not too dark but the lights are all on. Overall, too expensive, too hectic and unorganized but good for a first...

I got to the boarding area 25 minutes ahead of the boarding time to get a good seat. I asked the guy 3 times which side the laser show would be on and he kept just saying “go to the back”. When we got to the area of the light show, I had an obstructed view and the entire reason I wanted to know which side the laser show was on was because I’ve been walking everywhere for 3 weeks and my feet were in extreme amount of pain. I tried to sit but a person was blocking my view so I sat on the railing. I was fussed at by a worker so I had to sit and then stand when I could stand the pain to watch the laser show. Don’t pay for a glorified $38 water taxi to take you to the laser show when you can watch it from the shoreline and experience the...
