We got off to a bad start when we tried to amend the dates. I understand not being able to cancel a non refundable booking but when the booking was made within 24hrs with a check in date 4 days away, reception could’ve made an allowance. The duration wouldve been the same so unlikely any revenue would’ve been lost. Anyways, we had a 6 night reservation but couldn’t use 3 of the nights so checked in and then returned again 3 days later. A few nights wasted unfortunately but a 3night stay was probably long enough in the windowless we went for. Staff were distant at first but warmed up a little during the stay, basically they smiled a little by the end. The room was cheap and the hotel is in an excellent location. The TV had one channel tuned in properly. Tea and coffee plus kettle and water provided, even though tap water is fine. $50 security deposit to be left and refunded at check out. They still have covid distancing stuff on display which needs to be taken down, felt like going back in time. Really enjoyed food from a hawkers (in pic) around the corner.

This hotel is 'sorry to say' very calculating. First, penalty fee is 50SGD without any extra bed. We are okay if you charge us penalty fee, by adding us an extra bed, it will be okay for us because we honestly checked in at the receptionist. Second, I had asked one of the receptionist (the young women) at the afternoon if whether I can keep my dried meat (bakkwa) at their refrigerator, she said yes, but at night when I handed over my package to another receptionist (old lady), she received it, labeled it, and said: "next time, don't buy dried meat here (in chinatown) , just buy it at airport". How could be a hotel being so insanely calculating towards their guests? 😔

Renovation at home thus booked for 3nites as it’s very near to work. Musky smell in room but all good after airing the room with the small viewless window. Shared bathroom was clean & spacious, room was clean daily. Bedsheets clean, pillow quite soft/flat but got use to it at 2nite. Some noises from the air con but still managed to sleep soundly. Toiletries, instant coffee, kettle provided. Receptionist was friendly, fuss free check in (11pm after work) & check out (8am to catch a flight). $50 damage deposit upon check in & return after. Overall good experience for the price I paid.

I will make a police report on this issue and definitely bring this up to BCA ( building and construction Authority and also to Tourism Ministry. Your service seriously very disappointing.

I want a full refund for this stay because I literally get stuck in the elevator for 1 hour 15min and missed my appointment and the worst part is they threw out my bags and cloths from my room out to the reception in a big black trash bag. When I'm back to the hotel to get my things , it's already in a trash bag and kept somewhere near toilet area in the reception counter. What's disappointing is they said they wait until 2pm and have to give the room to someone else. What is the explanation for I'm stuck in the elevator with my wife for 1 hour 15min and I missed my appointment. And they still can threw my things out from the room !!! OMG !!! Unbelievable!!!

Moreover , the manager just ask us to sit at the table near the toilet area at the lobby. My wife fainted in the lift and I missed my appointment, luckily I managed to change the appointment time to 11am and until now my wife traumatized with this bad experience and rude treatment. How can a 3rd person can touch my wife's personal belongings as her inner cloths? Just grab all the dirty cloths and unused cloths and put together in a trash bag and kept at the toilet area in lobby? OMG !!!! Such a unprofessional act and inhuman behaviour.

When we return to the hotel my wife still having headache and fever. I need a explanation on this as soon as possible if not I am bringing this issue to the Authorities. I want to make sure this bad experience doesn't happens to anyone else. It will be more worst if any other people with health condition or pregnant women stuck there for 1 hour 15min. As your manager , they will service the lift every month. I will report all this to authorities.

I need a full explanation and compensation for all the trouble we gone through.

When we return to the hotel , despite provide us a good place to fresh up and rest before we leave , your manager put all our used clothes and unused cloths all together in a trash bag and leave it here like me and my is ok the run. I really feel so embarrassed Infront of my wife 1st time visiting me in Singapore. Such a bad experience on our wedding anniversary. Your manager can still smile when im talking to him , maybe me and my wife stuck in the lift and threw out cloths and belongings outside is funny for him !!! I need a brief explanation on this!

I called again the next day (24th March) to ask is the management going to contact me and to ask someone who I can speak too , but the manager is very rude and ask me to go and make a police report. Such a bad service and very disappointed. They played with our life and can be rude and unprofessional by replying just go report la if you want. I will definitely bring this issue to the...

Pros: Close to MRT (cross the overhead bridge to Clarke Quay Central and enter station from there) Friendly and helpful staff: they patiently answer questions. One of the housekeeping staff also took the initiative to ask if I needed anything when I was out of my room as I had requested not to have housekeeping enter my room. Fairly clean (apart from some stains on a bedsheet that they immediately changed for me) Decent provision: daily coffee and tea, telephone in room to reach front desk, good wifi connection. Basic room with shared toilet has a window you can open to air your room. Space in a small room is well-managed with a centre that feels spacious. There is a table.

Cons: Old: towels and pillowcase were worn out, even with holes. Shared toilet has no hand soap though you can use the shower cream provided. No shampoo and conditioner, either. The view from window is a blank wall. Random black stuff seems to come out of the aircon occasionally. It looks like charcoal as it is powdery and smudges. Might be because the aircon is labelled "antivirus". Your door automatically locks on the day you check out and your card won't work. Don't go to the toilet too near 12pm. (Staff are friendly and will help if this happens to you.) No chair in the room, likely due to space constraints.

Overall: I recommend this as a good base for moving around Singapore as it's well-located and fairly comfortable to stay in. It is not suitable if the hotel itself is the main point of your stay as it doesn't have much...

I booked four nights in a single room. The thought of staying in a single room was not a problem or the shared bathroom. However the single room was the size of a cupboard where you keep mops and brooms and that smells better than what the single room I had booked. The bed was hard and very low to the ground and was damp. I am 170cm but I could not stretch full length on the bed. The broom cupboard stunk of damp and urine. The tv only had two channels available. Open the window and it was noisey. When I saw the room I went back to reception and asked for a upgrade was told all rooms were booked yet they were advertising on various sites for room vacancies. Do not be fooled by the single room it was false advertising and based on lies. The management at said hotel can consider themselves fortunate they are not in Australia as you could report them to consumer affairs for false advertising. Oh yeah forgot to mention I lasted one night. Tried to get a refund for the remaining three nights was told in no uncertain terms they have a no refund policy. So lucky Singapore does not have consumer affairs office. Do...
