Had pork belly and duck. Unfortunately the duck was over cooked and completly lost under all the butternut puree and veggies. Was very chewy. No crispy skin on the duck or pork belly, and that really makes these dishes. Pork belly was also drowned in sauce. Flavours were delicious though, the pork belly alot better than the duck. Blueberry cheesecake is fridge one, light, could Definitely add more blue berry coulis on it though. The sushi salmon roses are absolutely delicious, the best roses, salmon was fresh, rice nice an soft and ratio to salmon was on par, not where u tasting more rice than salmon. R95 FOR 4 roses, worth every melt in ur mouth bite. Views are beyond description, stunning, endless and breathtaking. Service very professional and efficient. The manager was also very hospitable, checking if everyone was OK, walking the floor, and even wished us well and safe travels on the way out. The road to the restaurant the top is very steep an single lane so u do have to let other people pass by, parking is slightly sandy area. Overall the venue is amazing, they do also private functions. The food was good but not great, drowned in the sauces, and small tweeks to the actual cooking would make it great food Stunning sushi and amazing views ..prices are bit high ..friendly service ..however you would expect slightly higher class of staff ..the waiter got the mocha flavor wrong the first time ....second time it was not the correct flavor but I...
Read moreThe food is excellent and value for money. The buffet we had on Easter Sunday was the best_ you would wish that you had more space in your stomach to tuck away those delicious gems.
The service there cannot be faulted. The food is constantly being topped up so that you are not disappointed when you want to dish up. The waitress who served on us was friendly and caring.
The layout of the venue was well thought about; caters for approximately 100 people without you getting a feeling of being crowded. The ambiance created with the internal decor, lighting and colour brings peace and quiet to your soul_ which sets the mood for a good meal.
While savouring every morsel of the delights that they dish up at 360 Bloemendal, you also absorb the stunning views of Table mountain, Blouberg, Macassar, Robbin Island and Durbanville Hills countryside. This panoramic view feeds your soul while you satisfy your bodily needs with 360's phenomenal culinary creations.
On the downside though, the access road is for single file traffic. Should you have to pass oncoming traffic, one or both drivers have to veer off onto the verge which is not always practical due to the ground erosion which has taken place over the years. Management urgently has to prioritise the broadening of the access road, for the safety of...
Read moreOur first visit to the ‘new’ Bloemendal restaurant was very disappointing, even with the exquisite views on offer. While beautifully refurbished, they’ve sadly gone with style over substance. The food was mediocre, especially for the price. With issue after issue, by the time my husband struggled to even cut through his pork belly (R210), because it was that dry, he didn’t have the heart to complain to the waiter again. He ordered the Granite salmon roses (R155 for 4), but received regular salmon roses instead. Then, my brother’s ‘medium rare’ sirloin steak (R250) arrived medium-well to well done (depending on where you cut), along with 2 sad little halves of a baby potato on the side. 🙈 While we appreciated that all the reported issues were rectified, it didn’t make up for the poor experience. Needless to say, we did not order desserts. The one saving grace of this meal was the 2019 Malbec which was lovely, and kept us warm and merry. (Also, great value at R160 a bottle.) If we ever return, we’ll skip the restaurant and do the wine tasting instead. Note to management: big portions are not a substitute for quality and taste Lunch: R1500 for 4...
