Wow, this place sure knows how to lose customers. My review would have been more forgiving had it not been for the generic response all my friends received for their 1 star rating/review.
Our table for 15 was booked on Thursday last week for Sunday 27/11 at 12h30.
We arrived shortly after 12h30 and were told the waiter will be with us soon. 30 minutes later the waiter arrived, after I had enquired about the delay. While I don't expect waiters to smile ear to ear when serving this waiter looked like someone stole her lunch. This was just the start.
Kids meals arrived, overcooked burgers...my word who gets a kiddies burger wrong.
The adults' food arrived at about 15h00, that's two and and a half hours after we arrived. Safe to say there were issues, overcooked steak, cold fries, overcooked burgers (again) all the while other patrons had come in before us and already left.
Now I don't understand while middle of the road restaurants complicate their menus as if they have a Michelin star. R250 for a steak supposedly wet aged and coated in coffee and cocoa and some strange brandy peppercorn sauce. There wasn't a hint of coffee or peppercorn anywhere. This steak when prepared a second time was blue when we asked for medium. The menu is like a trip around the world, really does it have to be so complicated.
Now the excuse was that there was a staff shortage but at no time were we informed of a possible delay offered some drinks while we waited. We scoffed our food like hungry pigs as we had no choice as we were starving by the time the food arrived. Needless to say, a total waste of money. Such a pity, as this restaurant has a beautiful location with plenty of space for kids to runs free.
Nitida, please note...we pay for an experience not pretentious food. Cook the steak properly with a decent sauce and I'll pay what you choose to charge.
Waiting patiently for another generic response.

Read moreI just want to start off saying, what a beautiful venue this is. The food was so good and the waiters and waitresses were so friendly. However, when I ordered my food it came with white bread instead of the brown I ordered. The waitress politely went to change it for me but what I witnessed after that was horrific. Watching from my table I saw the bread on my plate being replaced with white bread again. The waitress then told the manager that the bread should be brown and she screamed at her and told her it was brown. The manager refused to change the bread and the waitress kept begging her to change it. She kept screaming at this poor woman in front of everyone and I decided to go over and defend the waitress. I told the manager that everything the waitress was saying is true and that she has no right to speak to her like that and she should apologize. The waitress left crying and came back to me later and said thank you for coming over to help her. I am so shocked that such a beautiful venue, with beautiful friendly staff working there has a manager that treats them so badly and in front of guests. I have personally not witnessed something like this before. I would like to appeal to you that when you visit this restaurant, watch this manager and address her behavior. Don’t allow her to speak to her staff like this. It doesn’t create a nice atmosphere and it’s very unfair for them that cannot defend themselves. She needs to...
Read moreLovely area, the views are over looking the play area which is great for parents and great for kids to play and big enough to explore. Open grass spaces surrounded by trees, kids can have a lot of fun here. Do think the view should overlook the south facing vineyards so the positioning of the build is facing the wrong way it seems but still lovely to sit in the environment. Our waitress was Jessica and she was lovely and gave us good service so 5/5 for her. The down side is it closes at 3 which is understandable but we were unaware of it so take note Sundays (not sure about other days), last rounds at 3pm. Food: Mix cheese & meat platter for 2, find it incredible over priced. You get a little bit of cheese 4x crackers which is crazy and very very little selection of meats, lots of bread on the side but I prefer crackers not bread for these platters. Presentation is good though so that’s the positive and lovely fruits on the side but so little for the price. Pasta of the day was too salty but was very tasty just heavy handed on the salt. Didn’t have time to try deserts or coffee. Quesadilla were nice had reasonable filling, poor chips though and tzatziki needed more yogurt but very tasty. Overall Ok experience, will try again...
