A fantastic (and rare) 5 stars for a well-deserved restaurant. Fine dining quality steak (better even) in the most relaxed environment! From start to finish the greeting, service and food was excellent.

The waitrons that both helped us through the night were extremely pleasant and genuine people who 100% knew their stuff about the menu, suggestions and information! Their attentiveness was acute and service was prompt.

Drinks & dessert came quickly, mains were a little slower but the fact that they were fully booked with all huge tables it should’ve been a much longer wait!

And boy were the mains worth the wait.

I had their recommendation: Backstreet Grill Ribeye and my partner had the 350G steak with Caramalized onions!

We (hesitantly) ordered their monkey gland sauce on the side and it was the first monkey gland sauce I’ve had in years that has lived up to my expectations and I was so glad we tried it.

We were very happy with out steaks, we tried the t-bone, rump and fillet. The sauces were great, chips were very good too. The steaks come with a vegetable kebab, which was actually very nice. The veg was not overdone and they put some sort of basting on the veg, which was a good addition.

We shared the mezze platter starter and the mushroom starter too. Both were enjoyable. The bread on the platter was fresh, as were the various bits like the pesto, olives, etc.

Dessert was good overall. The chocolate brownie was not as good as it sounds, but the sticky toffee pudding was excellent and the dom pedro was fab.

Service was friendly and reasonably attentive. It's a small restaurant so not difficult to get someone's attention if you need to. Wine list has some nice options and a couple for those on a tight budget.

Prices overall were not crazy but it's not a cheap night out. Value for money...
