Beer Yard — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

We called the place to make a reservation at 21:00. This was not possible but we could just come in and get a table. While arriving we told them we wanted to eat and drink something. This was okay, we got the menu’s, and silverware and we ordered. So far so good! But now the weird part came, the waiter did not order the food in time.. He forgot or something, so now the kitchen is closed and they did not want to give us the food... eventually they did, after pushing for it. No excuse from the manager or anything, not even a discount.. We were treated like we were difficult, but we should be hearing an apolicy.. Also one person did not even get her food.. It was a hilarisch night, because everything was so ridiciolous but I would not recomend it for a nice evening out.. I have been here before and normally it was good, I was so dissapointed to have this situation at such a beuatiful place dor my goodbye dinner.. Ow and the most weird thing was, after reporting that this would not be appreciated for their Facebook rating all of a sudden the Facebook page of Beeryard shut down.. This seems really suspicious because 1 minute before it was still working and then it shut down on every phone we had with us..? Beeryard I hope you will do something about this, because your restaurant has the best atmosphere in PE, would be a waist to let the eating experience go down because of a bad service and lack...

Classic comparison between what I ordered and what I received. I'm a lover of cocktails the way they taste and especially the way they look. My cocktail looked like a glass of water compared to the cocktail I ordered (pictures attached.) They Literally just need to change the glass and added lemon and lime. Which I found out later they actually did have. We only saw our water when he took our order and when we got our drinks didn't see him for your rest of the evening. Another water brought us the food. We order water from her and she completely forgot about it we had to go fetch it ourselves. Culinary was dirty forks and plates. We sat a the table without it being cleared for 15 minutes. Only to realize there's a mandatory 10% tip apparently even if the serves was non existent. Which was very disappointing not having the option to not leave a tip or to even tip...

Love the vibes, been going for years, but tonight was kind of the final straw with a black avo, unfresh ingredients and general service. What made it awkward was that our order was remade, but when we collected it again - they gave us the wrong pizza (bacon instead of vegetarian option) , there was brown avo put in a separate container and not on the pizza, and the salad redo was in the same state as the first (albeit with slightly less brown avo 😂). After notifying them again of the issue upon arriving home for the second time, I was told that the avo was checked and was brown because it was under heat, despite it being in a separate container. Chalked it up to difference in standards, despite getting the pizza order wrong and redoing a stale, dry, brown avo salmon salad 😭.

Scorned long term customer. Very sad it had to end this way. Please see images...
