This was an awesome experience.. good vibes for sure.
I was expecting more markets/stalls then they were (the expectation was created by their website). There really weren't that much markets but there was a variety of food, crafts, clothing and all.
The set up itself really gives you that African feel.
The 'shed' is also such a nice piece of space.. super open and with natural light coming in through the ceiling/roof top.. It really create such a beautiful atmosphere.
The music/live bands were great in the beginning, but then got kinda sloppy... If there was once piece of advice I'd offer to the organizers it would be to have the music organized and well planed out to the T. The music is essentially the entertainment and when that fails, what do we really have? music creates a certain vibe, especially live music. And it is great that you do not need to be close to the stage to enjoy the live band. You just be chilling around a table with your friends listening to the band either in the shed or outside.
It a market to...
Read moreMarket@theSheds is a lovely place for a huge variety of people, be it; family, a group of friends, tourists, artists, foodies and and and... The location of the place, is quite odd as it is easy to not notice it, however once you enter it's like you're in a totally different city. The set up is well organized, there was a variety of food stalls, very authentic clothing and arts crafts. The wine stalls and dessert stalls were the best for me. There was live music, however I hardly heard much of it because the speaker quality was not great and this was disappointing as the main attraction is the live music. Another disappointing thing was that we couldn't find seats, as there were way to many people and very few tables and chairs. However thanks to management for recognizing the demand as they provided a few more seats, still was standing though, but big ups nonetheless.
Awesome place, worth a try. P.S: Remeber to go as a group, it's much more...

All sorts of items are sold ranging from beauty products, accessories & jewellery, clothing, food & beverages and a whole lot more. There's a live band playing music. The place is buzzing with people from all South African races. It's a melting pot of traditional and modern culture, it's the essence of South Africa. It's the first liveliest market I've ever been to which I attend every end of the month. The dates are announced on their website. Because there's entertainment, there's an entrance fee after a certain time of the day. The market is between 11am to 6pm. There's secured parking available with a boom gate and a security. There's also a ramp access for those using a...
