RH Hotel & Apartments - Pretoria — Hotel in Gauteng

Ok I wasn't prepared for the tiny room. So when the 2 channels out of the 12 offered refused to play I was off course flabbergasted and asked to be moved immediately. I mean how dare the 2 sport channels not play, that I do not follow one sport neither am I interested in any type of sport did not feature at that point. So I was promptly moved to a replica of the room but all the channels played. Perfect opportunity to watch all the channels in the less than 12 hours I'd be at the hotel, well, I mean, in between sleeping and working tirelessly on my laptop of course.

Modern furniture is always a plus for me in any hotel! That with great service, vibe and breakfast. The service was good. Breakfast I didn't have as I had to leave quite early to catch my next flight.

Well during my stay at the hotel I re-discovered Miley Cyrus' We Can't Stop and that just changed everything. The room became bigger. I skipped the tiny shower and opted for a bath, which, dare I say, both existed in the same bathroom. The vibe became...Miley Cyrus. The TV channels still played and I was just a better person.

A visit to my friends who came in town and I must say, for a 3 star hotel by the SA Tourism, the RH hotel does live up to it's ratings and could be inspired for more. It is well located, albeit being in a student hub, it provides an arguably good service to it's clientele and their visitors and lastly has quite sizeable rooms that give you a wonderful view of the city.

From the 9th floor, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Union buildings, locate key places such as fast food restaurants and still get to enjoy your peace. Opposite the entrance you're met with the department of tourism offices while at the back, there are restaurants and night clubs for some nightlife. One might wonder if the maintenance is of par and conducted thoroughly, as when I glanced outside from the window I saw a cracked wall that seems to have fallen off as years went by.

Being in Sunnyside does prove to bring in business constantly throughout the year, however the kitchen stuff could improve when preparing meals that are not ordinarily ordered, as they took time without communicating the possible delays from the kitchen. Except for aircon problems, everything else deserves 5 stars. The food was delicious, more than enough and tastefully prepared. The kitchen manager was a star, happy to accommodate all our needs and early schedules, ensuring everyone was fed and happy( we were a group of more than 400 people) They say first impressions lasts, and the friendly but professional reception staff did give a lasting good impression. But the two people that made our stay memorable were the barman and kitchen manager. A job well done ✔ Keep up the good work. Aircon in room was not working. Told housekeeping and reception but it was not fixed. Next afternoon complained again this time to reception and maintenance. Was moved to another room where the aircon was working when we walked in (very helpful and friendly staff members, nothing negative to say about them). After I unpacked, housekeeping arrived and inform me that I must place the key card in the slot at the wall to enable the lights and plugs in the room. Did so, but to my horror the aircon stops working. When you remove the key card, the aircon switch on, but there is no lights or electricity in the...
