We went to here last night for my fiancé’s birthday dinner. I booked the reservation online with ease and we were seated inside in such a wonderful place that everyone was comfortable with(we were a party of 8). The seats are extremely comfortable inside. Our waiter Nelson was so polite and attentive. We were very impressed with how well run the restaurant is. The food was delicious and satisfied us all. We got an array of starters for the table which were snails, squid heads, calamari tubes, halloumi and crumbed mushrooms which were all delicious. For mains the entire table got the steak and chips special for R209.99 which consisted of a 300g rump steak (with or without fat) cooked to your liking with a side of chips and a sauce (cheese, mushroom, bluecheese ect.) and basting (bbq or pepper) of your choice. For dessert I got the bar one baked cheesecake, which was so good! The birthday boy got free ice cream topped with a blueberry sauce and a sparkle and of course the lovely waiters sang to him. Thank you for such a memorable dinner, we will most certainly be back. And thank you for making my fiancé’s birthday a really special one....

Wine selections are great with a variety of options. There are also a bunch of different cocktails (non-alcoholic options are available) and I'll happily recommend the long island iced tea, not too strong and not too sweet. The food was delicious, I had the steak and calamari combo and it was awesome. My steak was cooked perfectly and was melt in your mouth soft. Many at our table ordered starters instead of dessert and they loved them, from crumbed mushrooms to chicken livers and also grilled calamari. I opted for dessert and it was a very good choice. The cheesecake was beautifully creamy with a nice thin base and a decadent bar-one sauce ontop.

We were seated at a cramped table with barely enough space for our meals. When we asked to be moved, we were told there were no larger tables available. Our waiter didn’t seem familiar with the drinks menu and vaguely said “SAB beers” were available when asked what beers are available.
The biggest disappointment was the food. I ordered my usual beef short ribs (double portion as mains), but they were overly salty and overcooked. My partner’s signature rump also missed the mark — the fat wasn’t crispy, which made it unpleasant to eat.
