Really nice happy little beachy community offering delicious juices, upscale boutiques, lovely market and a great coffeeshop. I was having a wonderful time browsing whilst preparing for a hot day at the beach. The juice was superb and they have a great policy of using glass which you return: no throw aways, how lovely! The market was also a fantastic experience. Very cute shop. My only not-too-great experience here was a wonderful hand-made African stall which I wished to support. I bought 3 mini animals and one small spoon (see picture) and the seller kept telling me she would give me a good price (which I wasn’t even negotiating, the price is what it is and I was happy to pay it) but she then charged 700 rands! I love my elephant (see him at the beach) and most importantly it felt good supporting the guy who is working on the side of the road without any comforts. It was wonderful to support him. At this stand in noordhoek I felt as if I was taken advantage of and thats a crappy feeling. My advice to anyone going to the stall in noordhoek- make sure you set the price before hand. Because 700 is outrageous and it was my only negative experience in an otherwise...
