Overall a good experience with a little room for improvement. I would call it a 4.5/5. The staff was very friendly and I had a good experience with the dermatologist who performed my procedures. The clinic was clean and well set up and they made a big point of how sanitary things were (originally packaged vials/instruments shown to you before a procedure). Procedures: Potenza (radio frequency microneedling) for skin texture and pores, full facial Thermage for lifting, V-olet injection to dissolve double chin. The team really took their time to answer so many questions. My advice is to do your own research ahead so you can ask about all the procedures that interest you. They don’t have any sort of list of procedures/treatments that you can review and we (I was there with two friends) sometimes felt like we had to ask for certain procedure or they wouldn’t have recommended it on their own. One friend was hoping the clinic would look at her skin, hear her concerns and then explain which different treatments/procedures would address her concerns and then she could decide what to choose. However, I felt like it was easier for me to discuss with the clinic as I was asking about specific procedures and if option A or B would better treat my concern. So my advice is do your homework before your appointment or it may feel a bit overwhelming trying to figure things oit on the spot. If you only want spa-style facial treatments (like Aquapeel, the K-version of a hydrafacial) or the digital skin analysis you see on Tik Tok/Instagram, then you should rather choose another clinic, but for laser or radio frequency, I think this is a good place to go. They also offer a large range of services from fillers, thread lifting and full surgical procedures, but I can’t comment on any of that. Room for improvement: If anyone from the clinic reads my review, I would suggest that you have price lists available for foreigners (maybe you do for Korean speakers), as we felt like it took a lot of time during the consult to just discuss about prices for so many rounds of one thing or zones of another and that could have been better for patients and consultants to just refer to a price list (you can still cross out prices to offer deals if that’s part of your sales process). It would be helpful to have some descriptions of the various procedures and what they can address in English. Also AFTERCARE. That would also be good to have something printed out or available on the website/pdf since the translator/consultant at the end was really struggling to explain aftercare do’s and don’ts to me (should be a regular script/easier part of the process), so I ended up googling and following other clinic’s advice for aftercare since I only received very basic...
Read moreDid my first chin liposuction at Wooa. Amazing job done. Not my first experience at Wooa though.Had my fillers and botox done there too. I would say my experience at Wooa have been nothing but the best. From the Chinese|English translator to the doctors there. Everyone had given the best service to me. That explains why I choose to do my chin liposuction /fillers/ fat melting injection there. I wanna say a big big thank q to the Chinese translator Luna that was with me all the way. From explaining the procedures to the best of her knowledge and of cuz the most caring doctor Dr Park Young Ji, who held my hands before the surgery and told me not to be nervous. As well as after the surgery. He came and check on me while I was resting in the room to make sure I was feeling okay and all. He is indeed the best doctor that i have ever seen. For those who are worried about having fillers/ botox / liposuction or any other surgery. Look no further, Wooa is the place to go. Do not be worried if you can’t speak Korean like me. They have a translator there who will bring you through the procedure . Did I mention that before your fillers and botox . There will be a soft toy on the chair for you to squeeze and kinda provide some sort of support. And of course a blanket to cover you if you are cold. Doctor was very professional as well and there will be a nurse who will clean off the blood as well as to ice the injection area so the discomfort was kept to the minimum. And the translator (english/chinese)would be beside you explaining each step the doctor would be taking. So there will never be a moment that you will feel lost. Liposuction was done in a breeze too.what i like about them was they allow my friend to stay in the recovery room to be with me and that was important because she could give me the support that i needed.i have 1001 reasons to come back to wooa again.;) Come to Wooa, you won’t regret it. Ps: this review is not sponsored and i paid for the...
Read moreI had a rather mixed experience with my derm treatment at WOOA clinic, and sharing my experience - especially for foreigners. First of all I want to say that the primary contact I had with them on WhatsApp was very friendly and helpful, especially that I had changed my appointment a couple of times. But on the day of the procedure (1 aquapeel + 1 microneedling RF treatment) things got a bit weird… First the prices they had announced have been almost doubled (413k wons versus 290k wons for the microneedling RF) They tried to convince me to get injections instead « for cheaper » (which they called ‘skin Botox’) Then my aquapeel session lasted probably 20 min less than my partner’s and they just skipped my chin entirely. To be honest I didn’t see ANY difference and I have done this procedure a couple of times before.
The absolute lack of communication made me feel very stressed and they didn’t tell me what they were doing until a doctor finally arrived to do the microneedling - he was very nice and the procedure went well and wasn’t that painful thanks to the numbing cream. They didn’t communicate any special aftercare recommendations so I had to Google everything by myself and ask the pharmacy downstairs for help.
Overall I would say : PROS friendly communication prior to appointment flexible professional treatment done by doctors very clean clinic with great amenities CONS lack of communication different prices - which made it feel almost like a ´tourist trap’ no skin consultation prior to treatment, nor any aftercare recommendation.
I’d recommend this clinic for locals mostly as conversation was definitely a barrier here, but for foreigners, make sure you get a translator with you and ask as many questions as possible if - like me - your feel...
