Autumn at this place was amazing Suncheon City has been designated as a cultural city of East Asia for 2020, a decision made during last month’s meeting of the culture and tourism ministers of Korea, China and Japan. The city located in Korea’s southeastern South Jeolla Province was chosen along with China’s Yangju and Japan’s Kitakyushu.

The city boasts the beautiful Suncheon Bay National Garden and Wetland Reserve, which is one of the five biggest coastal wetlands in the world. The Suncheon Bay Reed Field is a wonderful place that I don’t think enough people know about! When you’re wandering around the boardwalk area in this nature reserve, you’re met with a cool breeze, peaceful sounds of nature, and a tranquil experience. This place allows for some incredible photos, ESPECIALLY during the evening hours, and if you’re fortunate enough to watch the sunset while you’re here, you’re in for a special treat. Went there just before sunset. Was beautiful with many picture perfect moments. Walk on the board walk across the reeds, watching the sun set, the wind swaying the reeds, watch migrating birds fly overhead, and spy on mud crabs darting around between the reeds.
