We booked the sunset ride and had an amazing walk along the beach with a group of 6 riders with different experience levels. The owners match you to a horse based on your experience. (It is important to be really honest about your experience to make it safe and enjoyable for everyone). I did horseback riding for 5 years but that’s more than 10 years ago, so I did not gallop).
You first brush the horses to create a bond and get a feeling for each other and then you do a few rounds inside the premises. After that you go to the beach and have an amazing view and many pictures and videos are taken. You can also take your own photos if you really care a lot about Instagram/ high quality pictures but be sure that you can close your pockets because you might loose your phone/sunglasses. If you are experienced you have the chance to do a bit of gallop on the beach but you really need to be able to control the horse! I think it’s good that the less experienced riders only go slow because it would be too dangerous otherwise.
My boyfriend who has never sat on a horse before also really enjoyed it and the owners were very reassuring and not pretentious at all (as some horse people can be). It is obvious how much they love the horses and they are very passionate and friendly. They are very laid back and approachable and they are not making a big deal if you accidentally arrive a bit late due to the traffic.
They provide helmets so all you need are adequate shoes (e.g. hiking shoes/ sneakers), short or long pants and perhaps a jacket depending on the time of the year because it can get a bit chilly after sunset.
All horses are rescue horses so it’s a good idea to go here and support them. :)
The owners speak English,...
Read moreyou can use the services of this stable if you are going to do it once. because if you want to purchase a subscription, no one is responsible for force majeure and unforeseen situations. As for me, I found myself in force majeure, in an unpleasant situation, beyond my control. Namely, the middle of my monthly horse rental subscription fell on strict quarantine, during which the police strictly did not let me go further than the street on which you live. I don’t have my own car, I’m not allowed to use the bus, and I’m not going to walk with adeje, only if I spend the night in the stable, which is most likely unacceptable. Walter did not answer the questions of what to do, he was not going to return the money, and he simply disappeared. said that these circumstances are my problems. because of this situation, I was left without a means of subsistence, without a roof, without a home. since then the street is my home. and when I asked to somehow get into the situation and discuss this problem, Walter got angry and just pushed me out the door, pretending that I was here for the first time and the lesson was not paid, although he had my 150 euros, and before that I took a private lesson for 15 euros. he made me look bad, as if I had come for the first time and did not pay. threatened with the police. this is the most offensive, not the loss of money. how I had money, he was very courteous, how I lost everything, including with his indirect participation, he immediately showed his true face. result: I do not advise...
Read moreTook my daughter here for her 13th birthday and she enjoyed it , she said it’s her favourite birthday present. Me and my daughter rode on 2 amazing horses called Linda and Tye (a gentle giant) and were able to switch horses half way through , all you have to do is ask .Recommend coming here if you are interested in going horse riding on holiday . It’s suitable for someone who has never ridden a horse or very experienced. However much experience you have everyone can be in one group and do things to their ability, everyone is able to pick a suitable horse for them, brush their horse , go on a long hack on the roads , paths , trails , beach and hills then untack their horse. You can either go on sunrise or sunset when it is cooler for the horse. You get sent lovely videos and photos of you and your group incase you don’t get to take your own. Chance to have a gallop (even if it’s your first) if you are comfortable enough and can atleast canter. All the horses are rescues so they have an interesting and heartbreaking history but either way all horses and ponies are very safe and sweet. I Recommend getting leggings or long pants , and covering yourself in sun cream and bug spray due to the horrible horse flies that will also bite people. The owner / instructor is incredible and really loves and takes care his horses and job....
