Playa Las Galletas — Attraction in Arona

This is a medium sized, mostly pebble beach surounding the harbour. It gets very busy on the weekends and festival days and is used mostly by locals. It's clean enough and owing to the harbour is usually calm for swimming. Plus side: Close to cafes and shops, very local feel and good for kids. You can also build fires on some festival evenings. Not so plus: It Can an get a bit dirty (mostly on busy days and because of the boats). It can get hard to find a spot if you get there too late and there's also very little cover...

This area has Las Galletad and Costa Silencio , Galletas is a more residential area with some cafes and bars, but the best part is along its sea front where you'll find some nice restaurants/bars and sitting here in the sun is just the best, along with some prawns or calamari with beer or wine, Costa Silencio about Aten minutes walk away is the more holiday area with loads of bars and restaurants and all at very reasonable prices, in all a lovely area to stay and away from the buz of America's or...

I spent 5 months in Tenerife. I tried few beaches but this one was on of the worst so far. The beach is filled with rocks , impossible to have a nap or just laying for a few minutes. Only reason i give it two stars , because their is cheap accomodations, restaurants and pubs around and there is a beach next to it where you can have a barbecue and its way more sandier.
