Would not recommend this university at all for studying Dentistry. The course is disorganise and chaotic with no set term dates and last minute changes which has an adverse impact on international students trying to plan home trips.

There is actually very little time off and draconian methods of examinations with mountains of content learning which is very poorly taught. Reams an reams of irrelevant and detailed modules all to be memorised for a countless number of exams.

The mental pressures are enormous for students. No pastoral care nor work life balance. The academic heads actually dont care they think that the harder a course is the better it must be. There is also the financial incentive of charging for re sits.

It's a very cruel system they believe in breaking the students in order to build resilience in a punitive manor. It may be relatively easy to get in but the actual course is terrible. The academic staff seem quite bitter and twisted and relish creating tough exams which are impossible to pass.

Students are studying around the clock whilst still attending lessons, no regard for their mental, physical, emotional well being whatsoever.

Beware do not choose this university its a terrible system and no body cares to change it. They are almost quite arrogant about how tough it is to pass exams. The allow resits into the final year but it means at the final year many students dont actually qualify and the university has had the benefit of all the fees.

The campus is tiny and barren remotely located, with very little to do. A soulless place. Food in the cafe is terrible, poor choice, quality and tasteless.

Cartegana is very small and boring within weeks. There are no student activities or recreations, nor would there be any time to indulge in such. Honestly students get up at 7am to travel in to the uni and often dont get home till 7pm ( mandatory attendance in mind numbingly boring classes) then they are up studying till 2am to try and understand the mountains terrible content.

The above is an honest detailed account. DO NOT make the mistake of studying Dentistry here especially if you are from abroad.

Most universities allow access to past papers from which to revise from as one does for GCSE's and A levels and of course in UK dentistry courses, however there is absolutely no access to past papers. The academic staff revel in making the students suffer with resulting high failure rates.

Un lugar para no volver. Equipo docente inexperto, con faltas de compresión lectores en los apuntes y en los exámenes, el grado lo imparten desde las técnicas del siglo pasado (ilógico en una carrera de ciencias como es Fisioterapia), equivocaciones de no manejar el temario, faltas de respectos bdireccional (alumno- profesor y viceversa), instalaciones deplorable en todo su esplendor,... La formación cristiana, muy radical, todo lo contrario, a la línea que lleva hoy en día la iglesia. No apuestas por la investigación, sólo permiten que el TFG sea revisión bibliográfica ( la ciencia no avanza sin las investigaciones). Sólo quieren a personas vacías para manipularlas y que digan lo que ellos quieren, no desean a personas que se cuestionen (debates mal estructurado). No interesa apoyar al alumnado, sólo su dinero. Insultos a los politicamente correcto, cuándo ven que no tienen argumentos antes lo que se plantea (críticas). Otros profesionales sí, además que la piden para su aprendizaje. En este curso, sólo destaco a dos profesoras de todo el equipo (como personas y profesionales), son las únicas que han demostrado...

Buena universidad con profesionales muy cualificados (la mayoría). Las instalaciones están en perfecto estado exceptuando alguna máquina de comida que deja de funcionar. Lo que podrían hacer es asfaltar el bache que hay al entrar al parking, en el cual me dejo los bajos del coche cada vez que entro (como la directiva y demás trabajadores no pasan por ahí pues pasan). Y otro tema, es la prohibición de acceso por las escaleras del parking, las cuales están precintadas por amenaza terrorista, pero vamos que si un terrorista quiere poner algo lo pondrá igual, no se va a achantar por un trozo de plástico. Pero esto implica que los demás tengamos que rodear todo el parking para poder acceder a las instalaciones. Ah, y por último el de seguridad alto con barba que se cree portero de la Casa Real si pudiera evitar gritar cada vez que entra a la biblioteca (sitio en el cuál hay que estar en silencio), porque siempre entra armando un espectáculo por tonterías que puede solucionar...
