wow, what a delightful discovery in the south of Gran Canaria. If you stay in a vacation home or if you are tired of your hotel buffet (like we were), pop in here for a five star breakfast or lunch. Superior fiber rich bread, sparkingly fresh ingredients, pure craftsmanship on the toasts and - important - best coffee in town. Served in a hot cup, as it should be. The sympathetic owners speak German, Dutch, English, French and yes, Spanish :-). I added a photo of the shrimp toast, not the galician gambas as found everywhere but the North sea Grey shrimp that the owners import from Morocco where these lovely 'sea diamonds' are peeled. Delicious. The restaurant is really a hidden gem, as it is indeed hidden somewhat on the first floor of a rather unattractive shopping mall, but don't be fooled by that, because what you then discover on your plate is just fantastic. Read moreWe found this cafe on the first day of our holiday to have some lunch, and loved it so much we returned on our last day. The service is fantastic - Franky is so welcoming and friendly. The food is superb - everything is cooked fresh to order and is presented well. This does mean you wait a little longer, but it’s absolutely worth it! We sampled yoghurt bowls, baguettes and a range of hot food items and enjoyed every single one of them. The menu has lots of choice, and you can mix and match some of the items to make your own dish which we thought was great!
