The food was actually really nice and it’s an absolute shame that the service lets this restaurant down massively It’s all started when we arrived at the restaurant. It took around 20 minutes to order drinks and I will be honest, I was pretty thirsty. We were sat on a table that hadn’t been cleaned and after being told we would receive some glasses for the drinks I had to ask again for some clean glasses. She was confused as she saw there were already glasses on the table (from the previous guests) which I refused to use. The food came in reasonable time. However we ordered second drinks that failed to arrive (never received) until I asked for the bill and the man said did you order drinks? “Oh I forgot” with no apology and a blank expression on his face then walked away. This was about 30 mins after we originally asked for them, and we had to use our own bottle of water we had bought from a shop previous so we could somewhat enjoy our meal. Overall, this experience was poor and 1/10 Food was really good so big let down
After all this, I paid with €50 note that was from the exchange from ( Asda uk ) she came back to the table and asked if we have anything else to pay with because she didn’t want to accept it due to it being slightly wrinkled. I’m sorry you should have the equipment to check this because it was 100% real.
Just unacceptable I think this restaurant needs to look at its service and attention to detail, they need to think of their customers. Every time we looked to chase up our drinks they would always be hiding in the back and never checked in on the tables to see if anything was required (in my eyes is a basic ask in a restaurant). When we mentioned about how we were unhappy with our experience we were told it is because it was busy. However, if you can’t deal with an extra table or two (not the largest restaurant) then more staff need to be looked into as this should not...
Read moreI always like to give fair and honest reviews. I came here the other day, and this was by far the worst indian food I've ever had in my life. It doesn't taste anything like an authentic Indian. The malai chicken tikka was sweet and came with a curry sauce? It had no flavour apart from chicken and sugar. This is meant to be made with yoghurt, green cardamon, salt, white pepper, coriander, lime juice, cream, green chilli and cheese then marinated for 24 hour's before being made in a tandoor. It should be served with chutney, not a curry sauce.
The paneer tikka was drenched in a premade sauce. Paneer tikka as a starter is dry and made in the tandoor. Here is the recipe I'd recommend you make. Marinate it in yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, cumin powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, tumeric fenugreek leaves, red chilli powder, salt, black pepper and cardamon powder. Then add your paneer, peppers, and onions.
Try and make your sauces and ground your spices from scratch. You'll attract loads more customers.
I ordered the rogan josh chicken and tarka daal. Everything tastes like a premade sauce you can get from a supermarket and doesn't taste indian at all. I won't bore you with another recipe.
The service was slow, and I had to grab the attention of the waiters as they were...
Read moreShambles. Decided to have a late meal with the other half. Reserved a table online for 22.00 and received confirmation… bear in mind closing time is 23.30. Got there 21.50 to be advised kitchen is closed. One girl of Chinese/Korean origin (not that this matters at all as we are all beings of humanity…shouted shut to her colleague as soon as they seen us) a couple of people drinking and eating food (can see why there was only a couple) Just to note “kitchen closed” there was still food getting taken to the couple of tables occupied. Just don’t it’s kinda a back street curry house and if you know what that means then you know. The smell isn’t from spices either, I believe everything happens for a reason so the reason being … is explained above 👆
Look at the amount of we sincerely appolgies but this is not normal and you must be confused with another place. Are all the people of left real honest reviews getting confused???
I await a response which will be replied to and conducted in the correct manner.
I can anticipate this quote “ We value our customers, and your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us” and “we sincerely apologise” also “you are getting confused with another place)
