Cala Salada — Local services in Sant Antoni de Portmany

NOT FOR FAMILIES WITH TODDLER! Parking issue at this Cala de Ibiza. Very unprofessional staff. He lets pass whoever he wants, also if the parking space is alerted full.... bouncing back families with a small children. So, we decided to park somewhere closer to the entrance and access to Cala Salada on foot: a madness that should not be allowed and the parking staff did not warn us of the long way (about 2km) and difference in height on the walk until you reach the cove. With a 2yo baby on the buggy, plus all necessary stuff... it was very risky the steep descent and so hard the ascent later. Cala Salada is a small stone bay with limited public space. The water is very clear, but does not justify the effort. On the way back, we have not been able to call a taxi (no phone reception), and unable to take the local bus (it doesn't accept card payments). Regardless, Ibiza offers definitely better...

Cala Salada is small but very beautiful beach in Ibiza close to San Antonio... You can come there by car and you must pay parking or with bus L34 every 30min that is cheaper from San Antoni station...ticket is about 2e... The way is about 10-15min... Some people come by motorcycle or by foot.. Because beach is small better to come early to find place in high season... In low season always you find place for towel... The water is very very clear... There you have safe guard every day... One of the best island beach with sand for my opinion... Sometimes there is people who make great cocktails on the beach and people who sell some food... Always full of young people and atmosphere is very nice... All recommendations for visit and enjoy there if...

How to reach: we took a taxi to the beach from our hotel. But to return back, you can go to the restaurant there and ask them to call a taxi as there are no phone signals on this beach.

Suggestion: Please try to reach as early as possible as we reached here around 11:30AM and there was a big queue there to go to the beach(Surprise, eh?). Also, carry food and drinks as on the beach there is nothing but on the other side of the beach there is a restaurant.
