Great place. Bit of a walk if you have kids, but we'll worth it. Beautiful scenery with a koi pond. Elevated walk way, too. Bring drinks as it gets really hot...

八卦山位於彰化縣城東門外，範圍涵蓋坑仔內山、鹿寮山、番仔井山，昔時稱為定軍山、望寮山，居民稱為「八卦山」。清嘉慶3年（1798）由知縣胡應魁以彰化的主山，故於縣署後方（城中街一帶）建太極亭，取「太極生兩儀，四象生八卦」之意。 八卦山大佛的原址是「北白川宮親王彰化遺跡碑」，光復後，民國43年成立「八卦山大佛建造促進會」，經向彰化縣政府申請租用公有地，拆除「北白川宮親王彰化遺跡碑」，興建大佛。民國45年3月興工，由許萬枝先生統籌，林慶堯先生設計監造 ，因逢民國48年的八七水災而停工，民國49年地方人士重組「彰化八卦山風景協建會」，民國50年5月完成八卦山大佛。

夏陽古木覆佛天， 隔林卦山印泰緬， 山徑獨在山中老， 唯有免費見老年⋯XD 台中西屯小資就是要免費～強力推薦免門票天空步道又有好多小吃的彰化八卦山一日遊。車停彰化藝術館旁利和停車場，到藝術館右後方上廁所，再走過省道至孔廟旁阿菊蛤仔麵吃麵配雞捲，滷肉飯（加滷蛋），嘴邊肉，骨仔湯，人均130真的比啥必比登還更上一層樓，吃飽後孔廟對面彰化木瓜牛乳來杯飲料，我最愛紅豆花生牛乳冰加招牌布丁，吃完爽到最高點根本天堂就在彰化，再走上在大佛旁的天空步道，記得夏日從棒球場4號出口下去走森林步道較涼爽，一路可到彰化美學館⋯重點是免門票小資就是愛這種小確幸啊！
