AIM Mall — Local services in Arusha

I’ spend most of the time here and there’s a lot to know about this place: It’s the only mall in Arusha that has most of what you would want from a mall. From shops, supermarket, food to entertainment for the entire family. It’s a nice place to bring kids as they have two places for kids; one is an arcade (that’s ours) for both kids and adults and another one is a playground for the younger ones. When it comes to food, you’ve got options from western to Indian to Swahili. A great cinema for the movie lovers, spacious, and good quality. For the shoppers, you’ve got some shops selling branded clothes and shoes to small vendors selling mixed items, to electronics to furniture. And for those just looking for a place to get your fresh looks, we’ve got one of the best saloons in town, for men and women.

If you’re just alone or with friends it’s still the best place to unwind your day.

Our experience, in what we thought was a lovely little grocery store, was a major disappointment. A 6,000 Tshil cup of Gelato was purchased. We were told that would be $3 US currency and to pay at the register. The cashier very rudely said it was $4 and, again very rudely, put out her hand for the other dollar. Frustrated and shocked at our treatment (which was soooo unlike anything we had yet encountered) we paid the money and left.
