Feb 2 2024 Location: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD. Firstly, it was my birthday… made a call the night before and asked a few questions, for which the hostess had no answer to my questions regarding the menu and didn’t seem interested to find out the answers, [I was curious to know if they had heart of palm, artichokes and Asparagus for the salad bar, that was advertised on their website] looking forward to a wonderful evening… first time going there, we came early about 6pm and only 5 tables serviced [throughout the night]… the staff was quite welcoming. As we sat down the hostess said the waitress will be by shortly to take our drink order. She came by and said hello, after she took our drink order, welcome us to the salad bar, made no mention of the format [how the meat is ordered and served]. Once ready to order, we were told there is no menu, to select the type of meats, I mentioned to the waitress that the website shows a large selection and she kindly informed us that we need to ask and she will see if they have it. I then told the waitress that we shall look at the website, where there is a list of meats there, only after asking my cousin, why her meat was so tough, why they never asked how she liked her meat, when we first sat down, also we had no clue what the round card meant [yes please to having meat on one side or no thank you on the other side of this round card]… only after going back to the salad bar for plain rice and asked a kitchen staff why is the meat all well done… this gentleman was the only one who explained the protocol after the meal was done… Another staff, more likely from the kitchen came by and apologized for the lack of information provided, yet no one [manager or otherwise] offered even a discount… To make matters worst… only 1 person had meat and the others [3] had only salad, upon getting the bill, we were charged for 3 full price, meals that includes meat…there is no way, that my family and I shall ever go back there… worst experience every… Now, I understand why on a Friday night there were no more then 5 tables being served at any given time… NO THANK YOU, TEXAS DE BRAZIL!!!
Feb 3 2024 Update: Got a call from management this afternoon, spoke at length - the gentleman apologized profusely and wish that my parents and I come back again… will think about it… may prefer to go another restaurant of theirs, time will tell Important all the same that these reviews do have an impact for good.

I would hope that you would look after the concerns mentioned and in due time… the quality of the service and food would be the expected standard for all your guest
For now, we are not interested in dining again at Texas

OK this is my first time been so full and explaing my frustrations at the same time.
I'll go through the negatives first. No. 1 as soon as I sat down my chair was wobbling on a uneven surface and my woman said she was to cold so we had to request to move. No. 2 tbh I was overwhelmed by how much difference types of meat were in the menu, that in it self just made me full just looking at it. I wasn't ready 👀 No. 3 service was standard for a 5*restaurant but it seemed like the guy serving us was rushing us to finish our 1135tt meal 🤔 just because they were closing at 10.30, tbh how can you offer that much food and be rushing people to finish eating. No. 4 the experience of having multiple staff come up to my table with different types of meat with out me even finishing what I have on my plate, just got me frustrated 👎🏾 gemi a chance nah, I don't even know why they were approaching us when our service tab was still faced up on RED. Ect.

Read moreFood- great selection of accompaniments as well as cuts of meat. However, their consistency is of concern. Let's be honest, this is a churrascaria, where the star of the show is the meat. Their meats have been inconsistent based on my last five times visiting; sometimes overly salty or dry other times perfect. The main reason for my low review hinders on unfair business practices which reflects poorly on the brand. I've noticed a trend and decided to investigate. I have been to this establishment a couple times and always selected the premium dinners. What I have noticed is that they serve you the normal cuts repeatedly and the premium cuts which you pay for sometimes don't ever make an appearance. On two occasions cuts such as the filet mignon and ribs were never presented although advertised and paid for. The other times, we enquired about those cuts and found that you literally have to to ask about 3-4 times before its begrudgingly brought out. I generally enjoy my visits here but I implore management to look into this discrepancy as it reflects poorly on a great international franchise. It's truly distasteful to charge for a good/service then withhold it with the hope that your customers won't notice that you've stuffed them on cheap cuts and skimped on the premium...
