Babadag Parasut / Babadag Tandem Paragliding — Local services in Fethiye

My partner booked the paragliding on a whim after being let down on a family excursion and I am really happy he did. I think it would be most helpful to address the concerns I had prior to my flight in the hopes it will squash any fears potential flyers have. I know most people are keen to relive their flight experience rather than the lead up, so I’ll attempt to fill in the gaps in reviews, so here goes… Firstly - if you do decide to go up the maintain in the cable car, please don’t assume (like I did) that the narrow dirt track that you see on your way up, is the route paraglider’s take. I was ready to cancel right then and there… In reality it is only slightly less scary, for those used to British roads. On the plus side it makes the take off a hell of a lot easier, because there’s no way I was going back down that mountain road by car, as it is a little bit of a white knuckle ride for those of us who are used to the luxuries of crash barriers and securities. I should also mention, the touristy site by the restaurant is not where we took off from, we went higher to 3000m. They check flight conditions prior to asserting the best height to set off from, so it may not be the exact location which most will probably visualise in the run up to D-day. My pilot and was absolutely awesome. I really didn’t expect to feel as secure as I did whilst in the air - I could have been looking out of the window of a plane rather than hanging from a parachute. The only apprehension was the take off which was basically taken out of my hands. I had thought I’d be the first person to jump since the pilot is strapped behind but there is a very capable assistant to facilitate the actual leap and encourage you to step forward towards the edge which takes the pressure off. I was offered some in flight “tricks” he called them, if memory serves me right. These were the highlight of the flight for me - think rollercoaster in mid air. Obviously it’s not for you if that isn’t your thing. But I LOVED it! My pilot was attentive and kept checking in with me during to see how I was feeling and even let me have a go at the pulling the controls. As usual for the area, expect to pay for photos/videos. I think mine were 40 Euros for everything but worth while for memories like this. All in all a great experience and one I’m very proud of. I can’t think many of those who book will regret it, put...

This was my dream for my 30th birthday and I would’ve been heartbroken if it didn’t work. As soon as I entered the office they had a small biscuit birthday cake with all the stuff singing happy birthday which was very sweet and something not expected. It was so kind of them

Then we headed up to the mountains to fly. Looking at other pilots from different companies I realised I had the best one! ISMAIL is Very warm kind and has a very good energy. You just trust him straight away and know that you are in good hands. Furthermore he is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent more than other pilots - for example we landed so safely I literally walked onto the land. It was so easy but when I was spectating other pilots I noticed they landed with a bit more of a struggle.ISMAIL explained that other pilots may not have understood the windspeed and direction as well as he does and that’s why they had more of a bumpy landing which I agree with.

Also taking off in the first place was a bit difficult as we were flying in April and it was very windy but because of ISMAIL knowledge, we waited until the wind calm down and at the right moment he knew exactly when to take off and therefore we were able to fly safely.

Also, you should buy the 360 photos it’s well worth it. You will receive not just one or two pictures but 100s! They are soooo worth it and you will love showing them off to your friends who will all be shocked and amazed at your flying experience! Haha.
