Badem Restaurant Ovacik — Restaurant in Fethiye

The restaurant was busy when we arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night but we were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. Everything worked like clockwork in the beginning; our drinks arrived promptly, the complimentary balloon bread and dip, my starter of grilled halloumi (delicious). Husband's prawn cocktail order was misunderstood and fries with cheese came instead..they corrected this promptly and were apologetic. Our main courses of Adana Kebap (a little disappointed as it was warm not hot) and Salmon steak (fine). Trying to get a second drink proved difficult. The first waiter forgot to put the order in and the second waiter, though apologising profusely didn't rush to get it either. Waiting to get a bill took even longer and there had been no offer of dessert which in any case at this stage we didn't want as it might take another hour. We stopped at Badem Restaurant for an evening meal. Our group of 10 which ranged from age 2 to 72 were accommodated quickly without a reservation, the menu was wide ranging and catered for most tastes including vegetarian. The service was absolutely brilliant and the food was superb. We are staying in a villa about 1.5 miles away from the restaurant and the owner Umet arranged a lift home for all 10 of us. The staff were very covid safe , wearing face masks, checking our temperature on entry and hand sanitizer on all the tables. All in all a great night. Highly...

After a long winter, we thought that we would try here after the good reviews. Staff saw us arrive, and we sat and waited, and waited. There were two other couples seated, and we asked if anyone was serving. We were told that the "boss had gone home, and there was only one left working" As we left, we saw at least three possibly four people working I would have liked to have eaten here and supported this restaurant/bar, this was not possible so regretably we left.

Return again after a couple of visits. Service is good, and meal are excellent. Well...
