Couples meal, the food in this restaurant is a good standard. A slightly fusion style so each dish had has the restaurants own take on it. Bread and balsamic/olive oil dip were put on the table which we shared whilst browsing the menu. Starters were prawns, five large ones in tempura batter and Karizma special parcels in filo pastry. Prawns were well cooked and batter good, meat parcels, two small ones with a couple of bits of salad were mainly cheese. They were cooked well, and shared the same dips as the prawns. Mains, Steak Rossini rare, came as ordered. Very notable was the tenderness of this steak, top work by the kitchen. Liver, cooked just right and in a bed of peppers and rice on the side, the flavours of this dish had a slight mexican influence. We looked through the wine list and struggled a bit because the types of wine were familiar but brands no so, we asked to try one but it wasn't in stock. Settled on a house red which turned out to be a good safe option. Deserts, Eaton mess, cream, meringue, tiny piece of strawberry and a glaze run over the top. Coffee, the first restaurant that we'd found after a few weeks in Turkey who served liquor coffees with real cream, that was a very nice apres meal touch. Definitely worth a visit, compared with other prices locally this is expensive, but comparing same food with the UK it is...
Read morePleasant reception, soft sofa to relax and peruse the menu. Nice relaxing ambience of soft music, fairy lights, well laid tables of a recent size. This by our standards is a large restaurant with lower outside seating and upper inside seating. Staffing was sufficient and very attentive. Nice bar area. Was quiet on arrival at around 7:00 - 7:30pm and most tables were free, however, this soon reversed to full or near full by 8:30pm to 9:00pm. Finding mains at 400tl was a little tricky but what we chose were two sizable meals that were more than sufficient to satisfy a hearty appitite. One Guvec, one fig-stuffed chicken, two beers, a wine and soft drink came to 1029tl. Early evening, a nearby road and traffic interfered slightly over the soft music before the arrival of more customers but by no means at a level to spoil the occasion. Like the majority of reviews here, we can...
Read moreKarizma has a great vibe to it. We went on a Saturday night (Victory Day) and we did need to book ahead for our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids).
The range of food on offer is good with a matching variety of drink to match. The waiting staff and managers couldn’t have been nicer, making the whole experience a joy to go along with the quality food. Two of us had beef and aubergine done in different ways and two had the chicken skewers and all four enjoyed the meals. Prawn starters also sat well with those who chose them and the kids came away stuffed from their feed too.
They were flexible enough to put a candle in the ice cream for one of the kids’ birthdays. And they had a great live singer who was kind enough to sing Happy Birthday. All told, a great way to spend your evening eating and drinking. Highly...
