Sultan Balloons — Local services in Urgup

Ok, we ordered a flight with the guys from our hotel’s reception (Artemis Cave suites and spa adults only hotel) - the receptionist told us an approximate price and called them (we didn’t know that it was going to be exactly Sultan Ballons , we paid cash (which is a bit hard to find - there are ATMs in the city Center, with 7.98% fee to withdraw euros - and that’s the smallest fee from a white and Green bank) and the following day we were picked up at 05:20 am by a mini bus that took us to a field that’s maybe 15 mins away from the hotel. There were many balloons there - it WASN’T any distant isolated place where only a few balloons take off - there were about 15 in the neighbourhood, and when we took off, you could see dozens of them in the sky several hundred meters away from you. The basket is intended to carry 28 people, corner 4 sections 4 people each, and central 4 sections 3 people each, the pilot section carried 2 pilots and barrels with gas. Everything went absolutely great, in the end, we got a glass of alcohol-free champagne and certificates. They also offered printed photos (4€ each) but we had plenty in our iPhones, so we didn’t buy those. The company is great, the pilots are great, everything...

We booked with Sultan Balloons and the night of the flight (Saturday 30th july 2022) we got food poisoning. We wrote them at around 2:30 and call them afterwards, asking them to postpone the flight to the day after or the next day available in order to recover from the horrible night we were passing through. They told us literally “ Can you cancel your flight ticket at the last moment? ” , our answer was “ Yes , if it is for health reasons and I am asking to change it , not to cancel ” . They insisted that they can not make changes nor to return the money. With no other option, we attended the flight to see the sunrise but when the balloon started its flight, it was around 6:00am and the sun was already up. Choose another company who listen and are understanding. I have been looking forward to this trip for some time. It was a beautiful morning and I was feeling very excited. Everything was amazing until we were in the basket. Somehow I ended up in the back of the middle basket. I asked to move to the side where the baskets are bigger and there's more space, but was told I could not as others would be joining that box. No others joined, the pilot basically lied to me. I spent the entire trip watching others enjoy the view, with my view blocked by the pilot's selfie stick and other people.
