Souq Al Arsah used to be a market place for traders from Persia, India and Bedouin tribes who bartered charcoal for rice. As one of popular Sharjah tourist places today, the souk is now a covered market with air-conditioned alleyways featuring solid wooden doors, beautiful coral brick walls and hanging lanterns that symbolise UAE culture. The quaint stores sell everything from pearl chests and copper coffee pots to jewellery, abayas and khandooras, which are important parts of the UAE traditional dress. You can also purchase perfume bottles and incense for the traditional oud scent. For heritage lovers, this souk should be high on the list of places to visit in Sharjah. After a tour of the souk, you can review the day’s purchases over a cup of Arabic coffee at the café, and stock up on delicious sweets at the popular halwa shop. The souk is along the Sharjah corniche, close to the Heart of Sharjah. There are plenty of things to do with kids around, including the Sharjah Museum and Heart of Sharjah Sharjah Discovery Centre.

Souk Al Arsah is a hidden gem in Sharjah’s Heart of the City. It offers a charming blend of tradition and culture, with beautifully restored architecture and a peaceful ambiance. You’ll find antique shops, traditional crafts, souvenirs, and local snacks at reasonable prices. The souk is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a quiet stroll. A great spot for those who appreciate heritage and history. Highly recommended for tourists and residents alike!

Must visit for your desired attraction. Here you can get antique products, shawl, female ornaments, cloaths and many more. The speciality of this shop is the owner himself for his hospitality. For a glance of mesmerising history of the world you can have a visit here. Some locals took us to visit this Old Souq, and we had a really good time. It's a small indoor souq, with lots of cool old shops -- antiques, scarves, trinkets, jewelry, carpets, and so much more. We bought several presents for friends back home and had...
