Bought 5 lb of Beef Mince and 3lb Shin Beef on Friday 14/8 at 8am. Started cooking prep immediately and one piece of shin was brown and smelt strongly so I binned it. Mince was brown in patches on the surface and inside. Rang the shop to be told that this is normal and to seal it and put in fridge. Opened it 15/8 10am and had to throw it away. I wonder if I was sold meat which had not been stored properly ?Most cross with the advice given when...

Lovely pies and (huge) sausage rolls. Good range of pork pies with various scrummy extras (red onion chutney is lovely, hunters pie is devine ❤️). Homemade coleslaw 👍, cooked meats, various deli items (stuffed olives and peppers, spreads, fillers etc). On the fresh meat side - great quality meats and great prices, usually go in each month and spend about £30-£40 and portion it out into freezer bags. Don't see exactly what you want? Just ask!...

I often call in at Harrington’s Butchers for a bite to eat when out on a motorbike ride. They offer a huge selection of meat, sandwiches, and pastries. However, my personal recommendation is the sweet chilli sausage roll which is genuinely the best sausage roll I’ve ever had, and right on my doorstep too how lucky!
