When we arrived we were advised we could sit in the window or downstairs, we chose downstairs. there were a couple of bottomless brunch tables and a couple of normal tables. We had our drinks order taken, but waited at least 15 mins for our drinks to arrive. In that time 2 other members of staff came to take our order, to which we had advised had already been taken. Eventually we got our drinks after about 15 to 20 mins.(a very long wait. )We felt to bottomless brunch table orders had been prioritised as orders taken after ours were served first) the drinks tasted very strong so we questioned if they were doubles. The waitress checked and confirmed they were singles, and brought us an extra mixer) me and my partner both agreed they still didn’t taste anything like makers mark, but never saw another waitress to make them aware. We opted to go to the bar, pay and leave. That’s when we got the bill and realised the reason the drinks didn’t taste right, was because we were given Jamesons, instead of makers mark. We were excited to try this place based on the positive reviews but sad to say it’s incredibly overrated. Upon arriving to an empty restaurant, we were shown seats next to the toilets and asked if they were okay. I’m not usually particular about where we sit but as we were seemingly given the option, thought I’d see if we could be seated somewhere else, perhaps next to a window. The waitress politely declined, stating that they were "extremely busy tonight." Why ask if the table is acceptable if you’re not willing to offer an alternative? Came for breakfast on sat morning before heading out mountain biking. Went to the bar, wasn't acknowledged so sat down for 10 minutes, no one came to serve so went back to the bar and asked if anyone was serving. She then took my order. Was given tea with a tea pot with no lid then waited half an hour for breakfast and nothing arrived. I then went to the bar to ask if they had forgotten about me, they said it was on the way. 5 mins later the young waitress came to my table to say there was a shortage, which was a lie as she had given my breakfast to someone else which I pointed out to her and she agreed, so I walked out.
