As a active mystery shopper who was off duty, having bled a central heating system, it was time to make the 45 minute cross city journey home. Feeling peckish as I negotiated the Foxhollies island in Acocks Green was a mind boggling array of brightly lit take away establishments.
However tucked away on the opposite side of the carriageway is, what can only be described as a touch of paradise! Serving up a authentic cuisine of Caribbean food, it’s name immediately drew me like a magnet. “Ah Ya So Nice” The choice of foods and services displayed on the door and windows were immense. Upon entry warm welcoming music mixed with an abundance of tropical plants complimented a hand painted mural of a ocean and beach viewed from a open window. The owner greeted me with a huge smile and asked what I required. After a short while she emerged with a container filled to capacity with a generous portion of tender curried mutton, white rice and steam veg, which included peas and sweet corn.
My preference for Guinness punch which was available was swayed to 3 bottles of chilled Grace sorrel ginger.
I highly recommend this establishment for its customer service, it’s prompt and simply gorgeous, mouth watering food. The personal and very genuine courtesy will make you want to return time & time again………!...
Read moreWe order from here almost everyday through just eat which is a minimum of £100 a week. I added Irish moss to my order today I wanted a natural juice.
The young lady called after we paid online to state she had no Irish moss in stock and if I would like multiple cans of fizzy drinks instead. Which is the complete opposite to a natural juice. So obviously I said no and asked for a refund on the £3 drink. As we didn’t need multiple cans of fizzy drink.
When our order arrived she deliberately left our dumplings out because we asked for a refund on the Irish moss.
The reason I know it was a deliberate incident is because we called back to inform of missing food items and she stated that there is none left for today.
We insisted as we had people home without dumplings and we can all agree everyone loves a dumpling with Caribbean.
My daughter drove to the store to order some dumplings she got them straight away when she arrived there was two big bowls of dumplings in view.
For the sake of £3 for a drink they never had in stock they lost a regular customer who spent a minimum of £100 a week. Extremely disappointing.
Such a ridiculous petty...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at Ah Ya So Nice and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! From the moment my friend and I walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely lady whose kindness and hospitality made us feel right at home.
The food was nothing short of amazing—bursting with authentic Jamaican flavors, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. From the rich, tender oxtail to the flavorful jerk chicken, every bite was a taste of the Caribbean. The portions were generous, and the sides complemented the meal beautifully.
What truly set this place apart, though, was the service. The server went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, checking in with a warm smile and genuine care. It felt like we were being served by family.
If you’re looking for incredible Jamaican food and outstanding service, look no further than Ah Ya so Nice. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (btw dumping the festival in the jerk sauce...
