Gravelly Chippy — Local services in Birmingham

Dropped in here passing through seen the sign for proper COD and chips with a side of curry or mushy peas and had to try it. I wasn't dissapointed it was a good size portion (and I'm a big eater) freshly fried cod while I waited and the staff were very friendly and professional didnt feel like i was waiting long in all honesty as i was chatting with the staff while they were preparing my order. £9 for large COD and chips with a side is a great price and I noticed they do soo many other meal deals aswell for people on a lower budget which is good. Well worth a visit I will be sure to go again....

If there was an option to rate this place, it would most definitely be a 0 !! I went here for the first time and didn’t have a good experience at all, the man that owns it is very rude and arrogant. I asked to pay by my card as it said on their website that you could do so, he didn’t want to let me pay by card at first and I were spoken to rudely about how it charges him to use his card machine and that he were getting rid of it next week due to the charges. Arrogant rude service, cold dried kebab meat, poor value and quality. Don’t go.

Needed a quick tea so popped in for a chicken kebab. Surly service, server immediately went round the back to talk to his cronies. Eventually reappeared and pulled dried, cold and gnarled meat out of container rather than serve me anything near fresh. They must be economising as I had a dribble of the sauces I asked for and minuscule shards of salad. Horrible cold food and £4.20 I will never get back. And rudeness to boot....
